The last bell rang throughout the hallways of Karasuno high school, the spring breeze blowing through the halls, students chattering, and people finding club rooms. You however, was sitting in your classroom, not talking to many people, feeling the stares of the classmates around boring into your skull. It wasn’t what you wanted, you just wanted to be noticed in a different way by Nishinoya, your crush and childhood friend. Now everyone was pining after you, exactly the opposite of what you wanted. Chatters spread around the class, so you got up and left, going to the gym, knowing Nishinoya was there.

Can't you tell I love a liar?

“Yuu!” you yelled, running into the gym, attacking him from behind.

“OH! HI F/N!” he tensely shouted back, the team letting out consecutive giggles. 

I know what I look like to you

“Heyyy~! You seem tense, whatcha talking about?” you teased, slinging your arms around his shoulders, a huge smirk covering your features.

“IT’S NOTHING!” he suspiciously shot out.

I would say it's excessive

“Who put your panties in a twist?” you giggled, the boy a flush of pink.

“We were talking about his crush,” Hinata told you, your face immediately falling, which everyone but Nishinoya took notice of.

Or maybe damn impressive

“Oh~? My Yuu has a crush? I thought you said you were going to marry me? Tsk, is this the end of our engagement?” you laughed, hiding the pain with a facade. 

I'll admit, I'm confused

“That was years ago L/N,” Tsukishima pointed out, “You were naive children.”

Glares were sent in Tsukishima’s direction, “Awww, you’re so mean, you should be nicer to your Senpai’s best friend!”

I've gotta remember

“Whatever, like you deserve respect.”

“Shut it bean-pole, I may be small, but I can kick your ass,” you snarled, surprising the group from the banter you’d previously had with the Megane.

That I'm just a toy

“Hey Hey Hey, let’s calm down, okay?” Sugawara calmed down, snapping you out of the anger.

“Sorry Suga-Senpai,” you sheepishly replied.

'Til you got my hopes up

“Uh…. Yeah I do have a crush,” the libero quietly confirmed, sending your heart into the deepest pits of hell.

“Congratulations, go ask her out!” you told him, covering your feelings with a large grin. It was just such a reflex to hide everything with a smile, that you couldn’t stop yourself from doing it.

And now I'm annoyed

“S-Should I? I mean, they are so amazing, charming, and kind, would they even like someone like me?” Nishinoya shuffled his feet, looking down at them. Each compliment pierced your heart deeper and deeper. You loved him.
