Lily lay alone in the cell.
The wolf's words buzzed around in her head. Non-sundown. Endangered species. Not safe here. She watched the other wolves chatting from inside the bars, a dangerous-looking wolf in a muzzle in the cell across from hers. What did the wolf mean? What could possibly happen to her on these islands?
Suddenly, she heard radio static coming from outside her cell, and her cell door opened. She stepped out of the cell, and said "thank you,"
"No problem," the voice was coming from the wolf in front of her, which was also the source of the static. The wolf she was looking at had black fur, tall ears, a plague doctor mask, a sword on his back, and a radio collar. The radio collar was making the almost constant static, and when the wolf spoke, his voice sounded as if it were coming from the collar...
"This wolf told me I'm not safe here, that I'm endangered," Lily said.
The wolf listened, its ears perked up, almost like satellites...
"So she led me here, and put me in this prison cell," Lily finished.
"Didn't sound like she was trying to keep you safe," the radio wolf said. "More like she was trying to put you in prison,"
"There was something untrustworthy about the wolf..." Lily said.
"That explains itTt," the wolf suddenly glitched. Lily stepped back, startled.
"S-sorry," the wolf said. "That happens a lot. It's coming from my collar,"
"A collar?" said Lily.
"It's how I talk," said the wolf.
"I'm actually not from around here..." Lily said. "I'm...a non-sundown" the words sounded weird coming out of her mouth.
"I'm not either..." said the other wolf. "I'm what they call manmade,"
Lily explained to him about the pink tree she used to sleep by.
"There's a place like that here," said the wolf.
"I really must be going..." Lily said, taking steps towards the stairs. "I'll see ya?"
"Yep," the wolf said.

That night, Lily entered the pyramid again. She didn't care if it was a bad idea.
She sat down by the wall in the prison. The prison was especially busy today. There were a lot of wolves sitting down, and Lily rested her head on her paws. She wanted to forget the whole "endangered" thing. She felt as if she were a part of this island now. She was planning on drifting off to sleep, when she suddenly saw a wolf in front of her.
This wolf was brown, with darker brown stripes on her back. She had wings, and tall bat ears. She had knives on her, but she smiled in a way that made her look trustworthy. "Hi," she said.
"Hi," Lily said.
"Come, I want to show you something," she said, starting to walk towards the steps.
"Okay," Lily followed her up the steps, through the main room, and out the door. She wondered where they were going. Soon, the wolf had led Lily to the middle of the desert, where nobody else was around.
"Beautiful night isn't it?" the wolf said with a smirk, and just when Lily was about to say something back, the other wolf pulled out one of her knives and quickly stabbed her.
