I carried my bags downstairs and placed them by the door. I turned and saw Cassie standing in the hallway. Mascara was running down her face, I sighed as I walked over to her and pulled her into my chest. She began crying harder as I swayed back and forth slightly as she cried.
"I will only be gone 9 months," I said.
"That's too long," she cried into my chest.
"I know, but I'll call you, and text you, and Skype and I'll send you snapchats and we will talk everyday I promise." I said kissing the top of her head. She nodded slightly as she cried.
"I want to be able to cuddle into you every night and have you hold me close and have those late night conversations with you." she said.
"I know but I have to go, the fans are counting on me." he said.
"I know, but I'm going to miss you like crazy." she said.
"I will too, come here I want to take you somewhere before I leave." I said taking her hand and pulling her outside. We walked down the sidewalk. We walked to the local park I went to when I was a child. We walked through the wood trail. The sun shone through the leaves. I held Cassie's hand tightly as we walked to the small dock at the lake.
"I promise you that while I'm away, you will always be on my mind. I'll always have you with me." I said as we sat on the dock.
"I love you Michael," she said.
"I love you too," I said I pulled a small box from my pocket.
"This is for you," I said handing it to her. She smiled at me before taking the box. She opened it and smiled. Inside was a sliver ring, there was a heart on top with a M in the middle of it.
"I love it," she said.
"This is so I'm always in your heart, and I have one too." I said I put out my hand and there was a silver band, with a C engraved in a heart. It was similar to hers.
"I love you Michael," she smiled kissing me slowly and softly in the summer sun. I smiled into the kiss as I pulled her closer to me on the dock. I pulled her into my lap and rested my forehead against hers.
"I love you to the moon," I smiled.
"And all the way back." she said.
I checked my phone and I had to get going. I pulled Cassie up and we walked back home hand in hand. Once we got back, I grabbed my bags. I stayed for a few moments hugging my parents before saying goodbye. I went over to Cassie and kissed her softly.
"I believe in you, this court case will be the end of your suffering and I am sure you will be strong and be able to hold your head up high. " I smiled as I kissed her softly on the forehead.
"To the moon," I said.
"And back for you," she smiled as I turned and walked out the door. Turing back for a moment to wave goodbye one last time.
