Me and Cassie continued to skype for a whole month until she finally agreed to meet me in person. We decided to meet at our old high school.
So there I stood on the steps of my old high school waiting for school to get out. Finally, the last bell rang. I stood up and watched as people filed out the doors.
That's when I saw her. Her hair in soft curls just like the first time I saw her. She wore her school uniform with a bag slung over her shoulder.
She looked up from her phone and smiled when she saw me. She quickened her pace as she climbed down the stairs.
"Hey," She smiled hugging me tightly.
"Hi," I smiled and hugged her back.
When we pulled away, a group of girls were staring at us and were giving us looks.
Cassie had noticed and turned back to me. "Let's get out of here," she whispered.
"Okay, let's go." I smiled.
She hopped into the car and put her bag in the back seat.
"Who were they?" I asked.
She stayed quiet for a while before she answered.
"Just some queen bees, no one important." she breathed.
"Are you sure? You seemed like you had something there."
She shook her head and looked out the window. "I really don't wanna talk about it," she mumbled.
I nodded. The car ride became silent. Finally, she spoke up.
"So where are we going?" She asked.
"Well, how about the movies?"
"Yeah, what movie?" She asked.
"Well that new horror movie is out, wanna see that?"
She was a little hesitant. "Sure," she said.
We reached the theatre and went in. We bought tickets and snacks and went into the theatre. We situated ourselves and the movie soon began.
After about 30 minutes into the movie, Cassie began hiding in my shoulder. I placed my arm on her shoulder. I began rubbing her back soothingly.
"You okay?" I whispered.
"Yeah I'm fine," she whispered back.
"You sure?" I giggled.
"Yep,"
"Then take your head out of my arm,"
"Nope, I'm good." she laughed.
We continued the movie, ever so often I would tease her about being scared but she wouldn't listen. When the movie was over, I sat up and found her asleep in my side.
I laughed as I nudged her to wake up. She say up and yawned. "What did I miss?" She asked sleepily.
"Nothing good, c'mon I'll take you home."
She nodded as we headed out to my car.
When we arrived at her house I parked the car in the drive way and walked her up to the front porch.
"Well aren't you a proper gentleman?"
"I've always been a gentleman,"
"Sure, whatever helps you sleep at night." I chuckled at her response.
"I had fun today," she smiled.
"I did too," I smiled down at her. I hugged her before she went inside. When I pulled away I leaned down and placed a soft kiss on her cheek.
"Is that the best you can do clifford?" She snickered.
I rolled my eyes as I leaned down and placed my lips onto hers, it was slow and sweet. When she pulled away, she smiled.
"Thanks for a good day Clifford, might wanna work on your skills though!"
