That night, Cassie climbed into my bed with me. I rolled over and pulled her into my arms and she sighed with relief.

"Did I wake you?" She asked.

"No, I was still worried about you."

"I can't go back," she muttered.

"You won't have to," I said kissing her forehead.

"What about your parents?"

"We'll find a way to tell them, or maybe we can have them help get your father arrested." I mumbled.

She nodded her head before snuggling into my chest. I held her tightly against me. I was going to protect her always.

The next morning I woke up with Cassie still in my arms. Even with tear stains on her cheeks she still looked beautiful.

I quietly slipped out of bed and went downstairs. My mother was making breakfast for us. She smiled at me before I sat on top of the counter.

"Mom, what would you do if you had someone you loved who was getting abused at home?" I asked trying to have her not figure out but I knew she would.

"Depends who is this friend?" She asked.

"It doesn't matter who it is," I mumbled.

"Well whoever this person is, you have to make sure they want help getting out of there." she said.

"They do,"

"So you need to call authorities and report what's happened."

"Then what?"

"You make sure whoever this is, gets out of that house."

I nodded my head processing her words. "Okay, thanks mum,"

"Cassie can stay as long as she wants," my mother said.

I nodded, as I jumped off the counter hugging my mother. "I'll tell her,"

"You make sure you call the cops," she said.

"Trust me, I will." I muttered walking out.

I walked upstairs to find Cassie slowly stretching in my bed. She sat up and smiled at me. "Morning,"

"Morning babe," I smiled kissing her softly.

"So what's the plan for today?" She asked.

"We are going to the cops," I said.

She froze staring at me. She was unsure about the idea but slowly she nodded her head.

"You're gonna help me?" She asked.

"Yes, because I-" I cut myself off.

"Because you what?" She asked.

"Because I love you," I rushed.

She blushed as she climbed out of bed and hugging me. "I love you too." She mumbled into my chest.

I wrapped my arms tightly around her. "Im glad I don't know what I'd do if you didn't say it back," I chuckled.

"I thought your weren't going to grow a pair and I'd have to say it first." she giggled.
