JinLing slowly opened his eyes.
As soon as he opened his eyes, a beautiful view came in front of him. His eyes glistened when he found himself laying on the lap of his beloved. It felt so warm and soft.
Suddenly a voice ruined his beautiful moment.
"He's awake!"
His eyes followed the source of the voice and landed on the person beside Shizui.
"Jingyi" He lazily said before unintrestingly getting up.
Out of blue he remembered something. For a moment he was hesitant. He scratched the back of his neck and said, "Hey Jingyi... You... you know... " His sentence was trailing off, he didn't knew how to continue.
But both Shizui and Jingyi understood what he meant. Shizui chuckled whilst resting his hands on either side of Jin Ling's shoulder, "Don't worry A-Ling."
JinLing was startled.
"Yes don't worry " Jingyi said and pointed towards himself, "I won't tell anyone!"
JinLing didn't know whether to laugh or to cry, "..... Thanks"
Jingyi grinned, "Rest assured."
"Okay" JinLing heard Shizui speaking, his breath was tickling his ear, "Now time to get serious."
He tilted his head back to look at Shizui. His face suddenly got a tint of red. And why not? Their faces were so close to each other.
Shizui seemed to have noticed his stare. He turned his head to look at him and blinked while smiling.
If not for the fact that it was time to be serious, JinLing sure would have moved colser to kiss him and just run away. It was too difficult to resist, thus he averted his gaze and nodded.
He begin to say everything and by the time he finished, Jingyi was on tears.
He said, "We need to bring Raku back home. "
Shizui handed him a handkerchief and asked Jin Ling, "So when should we leave? "
"To Guys?" JinLing was unsure what he was referring to. Shizui shook his head and said, "To Qishan."
Jingyi crossed his arms and said while thinking deeply, "From Lanling to Qishan huh. It'll probably take five days if we go by foot and three if we fly there by our swords."
"So we should use our sword." JinLing said.
"But" Shizui interfered, "we should save our spiritual energy. "
"Why so? " JinLing asked.
"We might be greeted by Raku's mother in the underground dungeon when we reach there." Shizui said, "Well... If we're lucky enough we can just drop Raku there and return back safely."
"Hmm you've got a point." Jingyi said, "But we also need to reach there as soon as possible."
"We can first travel by sword for a day or two." Jin Ling spoke about this idea, "Then we can travel rest of our journey by foot."
Thus the three agreed.
Shizui and Jingyi had already carried required materials for exocrism when they set off from Gusu. So, JinLing didn't bother to carry any other exorcising tools but he made sure to carry a firework for signal for just in case it might be needed.
He patted Fairy and said, "I'll be back in a week. Stay here and be a good girl."
Fairy woofed in response and wagged her tail. JinLing smiled and waved at her before leaving. Fairy stood their as she was ordered by her master without flinching from her position.
They traveled for hours and hours on their swords, passing by the flock of birds migrating to warm regions as the autumn was slowly subsiding and winter was soon going to begin.
Shizui was at leading followed by JinLing and then Jingyi. The wind was blowing their robes and hairs. Shizui and Jingyi's forehead ribbon were rapidly fluttering.
The wind was strong enough to untie and blow away Shizui's forehead ribbon as he was directly tackling the wind currents.
He flipped his hand to catch it but he couldn't. It wasn't like he was not able to catch it because he was slow, but because the person behind him had already caught it.
JinLing brought his hand that was holding the ribbon in front of Shizui in order to give it back to him. When he saw that Shizui was looking at him with wide eyes, only then did he realise what he just did.
The meaning behind the Lan's forehead ribbon, which is allowed to be touched by only the Lan who owns it or their significant other. In other words, their cultivation partner, meaning the person they want to marry and spend their life with.
It took a moment for JinLing to proceed the information in his mind. For that moment he panicked. Even though he knew that him and Shizui were in a relationship but still it would be too much of a big step in such a short period of time.
He tried to explain himself, "W-wait I didn't m-mean to-!!!"
He was panicked. He forgot to maintain his balance on the sword!
Thus, he got disbalanced and fall off of Suihua, his sword!
"Jin Ling!" Jingyi shouted.
Falling off from 1000m above sea level won't be pleasant. JinLing brought his index and middle finger of one of his hand that wasn't holding the ribbon near his mouth to summon his sword.
But someone else was faster than him. A white silhouette caught him in his arms in bridal style.
JinLing gripped the robe above the person's chest with one hand while the other tightly held the white ribbon. He tilted his head up to look at him. His eyes glistened.
The phoenix eyes stared at those gentle eyes forming a perfect spark between them.
The sun was setting behind them, making the sky look like a sea of saffron. The birds which were left were chirping and flying to their nests.
Shizui was embracing Jin Ling in the middle of the sky, standing firmly on his sword, as if he were really his bride and it was their wedding night.
"It's not a big deal." Shizui said with a faint smile.
Jin Ling was tongue tight, it was difficult for him to even speak a word.
Shizui chuckled, "To be honest, I really wanna tie you up with this ribbon. "
"...."
"Huh?!"
A/N mean while Jingyi (👁👁): OMFG I ship them!
