Chapter-15

The sun wasn't very hot, neither was the wind too cold. The weather was extremely pleasant. The autum breeze waa very sootheing.

The people in Lotus Peir was more than lively today. Here and there, literally everywhere were common folks. Each installing there own stall of either food or toys. As today was the food festival in Yunmeng.

It was still morning, but the sun had already rose up high in the sky. The fare was not yet crowded.

A young master, adorned in peony robes and a vermillion mark between his brows. His features were delicate yet sharp. His eyes resembled with that of a phoenix.

As he walked, every people stood aside so that they won't be in mid his way. The young man strod forward neither smiling nor frowning.

That youth was none other then Sect Leader Jin, Jin Ling.

JinLing didn't even knew why he straight away entered the fare, instead of going to his uncle. Plus, he didn't even brought Fairy with him. Nevertheless, he had money this time. He could buy for himself anything.

He was calmly stroding forward. Out of no where he heard someone calling out for him, "Oi Jin Ling is that you?!"

It could also be called shouting.

JinLing didn't even had to turn around to see who it was. There weren't many people yet. So, he was clearly able to hear the voice.

He too shouted while turning to the direction of the voice, "Yes thats me you indiot."

As he turned around, as expected it was Lan Jingyi who had just now called out for him. Ofcourse, Jingyi wouldn't come to this grand fest alone.

Beside him was an exceptionally beautiful figure standing, who was right now covering his face and sighing in defeat. He shook his head, and tilted his head to meet JinLing's gaze.

JinLing's heart skip a beat.

Shizui greeted, "Sect Leader Jin."

JinLing for a moment didn't knew how to answer, and could onky hurriedly nod. He could feel his face's temperature was rising up.

But he couldn't be how he was for so long. After all he was the Sect Leader of a prominent sect.

He schooled his expression, put his hands behind his back and walked towards them. He said, "Why isn't Jingyi greeting me?"

Jingyi was at a loss first. Then he frowned, "Why should I gree-" Before he could even finish his sentence a light snack was landed on his back by Shizui. The smack only seemed to be light, but only the one who took it could say how hard it was.

Jingyi coughed a littled and nonchalantly said, " Greetings Sect Leader Jin. Also Happy mid-autum."

JinLing acknowledged his greetings and respinded "Hmm".

Jingyi then turned over to Shizui and voiced himself, "Now a days you're starting to him me. Even though I haven't hit you. This is injustice!"

Shizui patted Jingyi's shoulder while saying, "I'm really sorry for hitting you Shizui. But now you should be more respectful towards him. He is no more a Young Master. He is a Sect Leader."

Both JinLing and Jingyi were taken aback for a moment.

Jingyi thought thatbShizui was indeed correct. But he couldn't help himself from pissing off the person even though he was a Sect Leader. It has become a part of his habit. Plus, even JinLing plays a very important role in pissing hin off. So, how can a person like him not shout on that brat... Sect Leader JinLing.

Jingyi scratched the back of his neck and again turned his head, this time towards JinLing, "You came alone."

JinLing: "So what?"

"See! He's the one who starts first its not me!" Jingyi hurriedly complaint to Shizui while pointing at JinLing.

Shizui really didn't know whether to laugh or to cry. He said, "Okay okay. Its fine. We!re here to enjoy the food. Lets do that. JinLi- I mean Sect Leader Jin, would you join us?"

JinLing really didn'r know how to respond. A part of him was rebuking, saying 'don't go you'll embarrass yourself' and other part if him was saying 'Go! Go! This is your chance'. For a long moment he didn't answer.

Shizui again asked in even more courteous manner, "Would Sect Leader Jin like to join us?"

At the end, heart wants what it wants.

JinLing sighed, "Fine. I'll go." After some thought he added, "Also don't keep calling me Sect Leader when we're alone."

Shizui's eyes turned into a crescent moon shaped and his lips curved up. Even he disn't know when he smiled, but when he knew, he changed his facial expression into a more 'normal' one.

Shizui was about to say, but before he could even utter a word Jingyi had already taken the initiative to speak, "YES I WON'T!"

JinLing said with a frown, "Why do you keep shouting?!" Then he swept his glance across them. He asked, "You two came alone?"

This time Shizui replied, "We actually came with Hanguang jun and Childe Wei. But they seem to be missing since the time they said they need to do some work privately."

JinLing, "..."

Jingyi lightly coughed to ease up the uneasiness. Then said, "Okay okay. Lets not waste time. Today we'll enjoy till evening."

JinLing too hurriedly added, "Ah yes. But do you guys have money right?"

Jingyi exclaimed, "Ofcourse I have! Don't think of me as poor just because once I forgot to bring my money pouch."

Shizui hurriedly waved his hand in air, "Now lets make way for people. We're blocking the path."

After debating in mind for so long, JinLing was finally abke to muster up the courage to ask, he tried his best speak as nonchalantly as ever, "What is you favourite dish... Shizui?"

"Huh?" Shizui was surprised that JinLing had just now asked him. He carefully observed the guy who just now asked. Ofcourse, it was just a trivial matter. But to be asked this from JinLing's mouth was really a matter of some nice deal.

Shizui gently smiled and replied, "I like whatever JinLing likes."

A gentle breeze blew past them at that moment, slowly waving the strands of their hair. JinLing silently gazed at Shizui. Shizui too met with his eyes, and gently smiled. The noise of the surrounding seemed to have dimmed and they could only hear each other's heartbeat.

And Jingyi stood on the side silently witnessing this scene.

Jingyi, "..."
