Cloud Recess.

Under the leisurly withering tree, three figures in white robe and a forehead ribbion sat. The two facing one.

It had been two days since Lan Shizui and Lan Jingyi returned from Yi City. They had to submit the report. Actually, Shizui had completed the report the very next he returned. But Jingyi had begged him to submit the report together.

Finally, after so much of hustle and tussel Jingyi was able to complete his report by himself. And now, they had to submit it to their teacher, that is Hanguang jun.

Shizui held his both hands forward lightly gripping the paper where he had written his report, "Hangjuan jun."

Lan Wangji only nodded as response.

And Jingyi did the same.

Jingyi was anxious the whole time Lan Wangji checked his paper, if he could get the best grade or he had to workout with a B grade once again. But he still remembered the only time he got A, when they had went to exocrise an already excorised ghost. The male ghost whose wife had killed him, and cut his lips and tongue.

In the contrary, Shizui had maintained a calm and composed expression, but only he knew what he was thinking within his mind. As he had been called twice by the esteemed Hanguang jun before he replied with, "Ah... Yes?"

Lan Wangji said, "You've got some mistakes here."

Jingyi was taken aback. Like seriously, he had always thought of Shizui as his role model because of his skills and talents plus his patient behaviour. He was also one of the high level discipile. And a mistake in a report of someone like him was soldem.

Shizui however paid no heed to those thoughts and acknowledged his mistakes, "Yes Hanguang jun. I'll go through the report once again and rectify it.

Lan Wangji replied, "Mn."

After departing from the class, Jingyi finally said that he had suppressed for a while, "You were in hurry to submit the report. Maybe thats why you've had mistakes. To be honest I too always get more than these many mistakes in my report and still I'm always so chilled."

Hearing Shizui let out a dry chuckle and said, "But I think you're always hyper."

Jingyi waved his hand andbas he waved a gamboge leaf fell on his hand and he swiftly catched it. He looked up and said, "Autum is coming soon."

Shizui halted on his step and looked up as well and said while stroking his chin with left hand, "So soon? I thought it was still spring."

Jingyi looked at him with a perplexed look. He said, "Gusu is always cool and calm maybe thats why you thought it was still spring."

Shizui too catched a gamboge leaf and looked at it with a faint smile, and said, "Perhaps maybe."

As they were talking, someone called them from afar shouting, "Hey! Shizui! Jingyi!"

Ofcourse who would dare break the rules of GusuLan except for the so called Yilling Patriach, Wei WuXian.

Jingyi waved his hand and shouted back, "Yes! We're here what do you want?!"

Oh. And also Jingyi, the most unLan Lan.

Shizui said to Jingyi, "Shush, don't make too much of noise. Otherwise Sir will hear it."

As if through telepathy the 'sir', that is, Lan Qiren got the news. He popped out from the door behind Wei Wuxian and shouted at him, "Wei WuXian! You're causing trouble again!"

Wei WuXian was startled. He didn't expect Lan Qiren to be here. In reflex he subconciously mobed away from him and called out, "Lan Zhan!"

With a speed of light, Lan Wanji swiftly rushed from behind Lan Shizui and Lan Jingyi, and in an instant stood in front of Wei Wuxian defending him from death glare of Lan Qiren.

Lan Shizui, "..."

He mentaly thought, 'Gusu could no longer be called the mourning place that other people claim. It looks more lively now.'

At the evening Lan Shizui and Lan Jingyi went to library to check on their report once again.

Shizui tried his best to concentrate only on his task, to complete the report with no flaw. He tried his best. But whenever he did, those phoenix arrogant eyes, slightly parted bangs to show the vermillion mark in between the brows of that person would always appear.

He brain was thinking to complete task, but his heart was thinking of that person. They were both diverged. How could he possibly complete the work without any flaw.

He tried to repeat those four thousand rules that were carved in the wall of rules of GusuLan.

Jingyi happened to notice his expression and his unfocusness during the work time, which was very unlike him. He was at first nonchalant and didn't think much. But as he observed more, something felt off. Shizui was only dripping his brush in the ink pot for nearly more than five incense buring time. And he himself had already completed two pages, while Shizui hadn't even flipped his single page.

He called out, "Hey Shizui."

Shizui slowly tilted his head towards him and responded, "... Yes?"

Jingyi said, "You okay?"

Shizui was flabbergasted by his sudden question, and quickly waved his hand in the air with an apologetic smile, "Ah, I'm totally fine. Did I bother you? Sorry for that."

Jingyi kept his brush on the table and said, "You seem kinda off?"

Shizui really didn't knew what to say. Nevertheless he replied, "Maybe."

Jingyi arched an eyebrow up high. Out of blue he suddenly smiled. He said, "Lets go to a night hunt again, and not call any adults."

Shizui replied, "Why so?"

Jingyi answered, "Ofcourse we'll tell them that we'll be going. But we won't take them as our helping hand."

"Oh"

"And also" Jingyi continued, "Lets call JinLing. I think he too enjoys to accompany us during night hunt."

As if the sentence was like a hammer stroke on Shizui's delicate heart. He lightly punched his chest and said with unfathomable expression, "We shall not disturb Sect Leader Jin now and then. He isn't like us. He has many responsibilties of his sect to behold."

Jingyi let out an "Oh" then said, "You really are very considerate Shizui."

Shizui said with perplexion, "Am I? I don't think so Hahahaha..." He could only laugh dryly as the other person didn't laugh at all.

Jingyi said, "Ofcouse you're kind and considerate about everyone. But remember you too are included im everyone. So, be considerate about yourself as well."

"..."

Shizui was silent. This time he really didn't know how to response. He never really expected to hear such words. Especially from someone like him.

At the end he only said, "Okay."
