Guys, I found the perfect soundtrack for this story 🥺🥺🥺

It didn't take long for us to get lower, ending up lying down. I would put my head on his shoulder and my hand on his chest, while his hand would gently rub my back every now and then. The longer we were like that, the less weird it felt and after some time I could actually start paying attention to the movie, where Bridget was currently on a date with Daniel Cleaver.

James's point of view

"Hey... n/n (nickname - for me it would be something like Tessie). Wake up. I have to leave you for a while." I shook her shoulder lightly, chuckling. She was adorable. She fell asleep during the movie. And I wouldn't mind that at all. But I needed to use the bathroom and also wanted to grab us something to drink and maybe some snacks since our spot was far from the table.

Y/n frowned and hugged me tighter which made my stomach flutter. "Don't go." She mumbled and I snickered. She had no idea what was going on and it was hilarious.

"You should wake up or you're going to regret this you know." I laughed quietly. I heard someone say something from the sofa. This situation finally gave me something to make fun of her about and no matter how cute she was and how happy her clinginess made me, I wasn't planning to let her forget this.

She opened one eye and almost jumped at the realisation. She sat up rapidly and I heard Oliver burst out laughing, unsuccessfully trying to be quiet. Then Katy would shush him.

"Did I?" Y/n asked panickily and let go of me. "Yeah, you fell asleep." I smirked. "Ooooohmygooood I'm so sorry." She whispered rubbing her eyes. "That's okay I'll be right back. In a meanwhile, you can decide whether you came here to sleep or to watch Bridget humiliate herself over and over again." I kissed her temple and jumped off of the bed.

Y/n's point of view

"As if I needed any more inspiration on how to do that." I said sarcastically feeling humiliated as never. Well... Maybe I was exaggerating. But at that moment I just wanted to disappear. "I'm pretty sure you can do better. Haven't seen you come to a family reunion in a bunny costume." "Is that a challenge?" Instead of answering, James gave me this weird daring look and just left.

I sat crossed legged blindly looking at the movie, screaming swear words at James for leaving me alone in my head. Now I'm cold. Great. I crossed my arms on my chest. Peripherally I could see Oliver look at me, so I glared back at him with a sarcastic smile. He winked. "Oh, will y'all stop acting like teenagers? Thanks." I mouthed.

I had no idea if he got the exact words I said, but my facial expression must've managed to deliver at least some of the message, judging by how he raised his hands in a surrender gesture.

James came back into the room after a few minutes, giving me a wink on the way. I rolled my eyes. Why does everyone keep winking at me? Are we in some stupid reality show? My mood was on the edge of going very, very bad. I just wanted to cuddle into James again. And maybe even to be alone with him. It felt so weird with other people around. And the way these people would act was making it even worse. Why wouldn't they just leave us alone?

James came closer and looked up at me. "Want something to drink?" He whispered. "Just Sprite will be fine. Thanks." I smiled as James would take my hands into his. "Don't you want anything into it to give it a bit of a kick?" He asked. "Nah. I don't really drink. Doesn't make me feel good. Have some for me." I chuckled.

"How much do you want to go back to your place tonight?" He asked innocently. "What?" "Well... If I accidentally forgot that I was supposed to drive tonight and had something to drink, then you'd have to take a cab or... Stay the night (?)" He said suggestively with a subtle hint of a question mark at the end. I giggled.
