This is my happy song ✌️

-----

I was so excited about the upcoming day. I was worried. A lot. But at the same time, I felt like James was the best possible person to go through that situation of mine with. I felt like he would understand. Or maybe it was just what I wanted to happen. The point was that I had a good feeling about it. And even though I was missing James next to me, I still fell asleep smiling.

"And that's how you make your own pen nib." The old man at the museum smiled at me kindly and handed me the new pen nib he just helped me make. "Wow, that's really cool thank you!" "Would you girls like to try writing with different kinds of pens?" He asked pointing at this big table with all different kinds of writing instruments. "Sure." F/n said and we both sat down.

We actually had more fun at the museum than we would expect. Before leaving we left the man a tip for his efforts to make our visit so engaging and fun.

Outside of the building, we found a free cab that'd take us to the ice stadium. We borrowed some skates and the first horror of my day has begun.

I couldn't manage to stand on my feet for longer than 30 seconds I swear. Even little kids would laugh at me. I just couldn't get it how people dance on these. It's so unnatural. When I fell for probably the 30th time, f/n approached me and offered me her hand so I could get up.

"That's very kind of you." I laughed dryly. "Oh come on you can do it! Now let's skate towards that wall!" She pointed at one that was at least 20 meters away. I gave her an annoyed look.

"Do you realize that if I get to take my clothes off tonight, I'm gonna look like a fucking eggplant?"

"Nahhh. You're not going to be the eggplant there. If you know what I mean." I rolled my eyes and stood up again. I just couldn't manage to gain stability. F/n let go of my hand and ran towards the wall she chose as our current target. I'd get there without falling, but it'd take me twice as long and I wouldn't even lift my feet off the ground, just sliding one ahead of the other.

And that was pretty much how the whole ice skating idea went. I must admit that we laughed a lot. But still. My whole body was so sore I'd much rather had gone swimming than this.

But this afternoon wasn't about me so as long as f/n was happy with how we spent it, it was okay.

In the changing room, I checked my injuries finding out my knees looked terrible. I wasn't a complete eggplant though. It was mostly just my knees that had turned purple. Then I also had this big bruise on my right hip from when I just once tried to skate faster. Otherwise, I looked okay.

F/n walked past me to take off her skates and checked out my knees with a smirk. "What?" I asked.

"Do you know what other than ice skating would give you bruises like that?" She chuckled. "Oh stop it!" I threw a glove at her and she laughed.

Back at our apartment, I took a nice long shower, including shaving, peeling, moisturising and all that kind of stuff. The bruises were more sensitive than I expected them to be. It really kind of hurt when I was spreading a body lotion over those areas.

I swore I'd kill f/n for having such a stupid idea on how to spend our afternoon before my possible 'first sex' date as she'd call it.

I wrapped myself in a towel and walked out of the bathroom. It was 17:48 and I wasn't completely sure when James was planning to come to pick me up. I checked my phone but there was no message from him.
