Chapter 3
Vonilla
Kill them!
I awoke fully transformed, gasping for air with sweat running down my face. I recognized my surroundings and found i was in the room I've been staying in. I sat up to find myself in my bed this time and not on the floor or with someone around me.
I shifted back human as i attempted to take even breaths to calm down. I looked down to see my now human hands clutching the shredded sheets. The stuffing from the pillows surrounded me. There were droplets of what could only be my blood too.
I took a shaky breath. My instincts were raging under the surface and lusting for blood. I reigned them in.
I looked at the state of the dark blue sheets. How was i gonna explain this?
I got out of the bed unsure of what to do. I looked to the door when a knock came and the door opened to reveal Nurse Claritha. She looked at me and then to the bed. Her eyes held understanding before they went back to that look of sympathy. I didnt react and my face went blank.
She entered the room and closed the door. There was a silence and she had a conflicted look on her face. Deciding to ignore what happened i walked off. "Im taking a bath"
I heard her sigh before i closed the door. I quickly took a shower.
I walked out dressed and seeing Nurse Claritha cleaning the remainder of the ripped materials.
I stared blankly as she turned to me. I stood defensively. Is this where she tries to kill me? Torture me?
She realized that. "I'm not mad at you, you know"
I looked at her suspiciously. Her voice was soothing and sweet. Maybe too sweet.
He use to do that too.
I bared my fangs at her in warning not to try anything.
"Look," she started. "You just escaped a hell hole, quite literally. I don't expect you to come out perfect."
She looked at me. "Everyone has their nightmares, some worse than others."
I didn't know what to say to that but had calmed down instead. She wasn't angry so that was good.
She continued fixing my room while I went to the window. The cool morning breeze washed over me. I watched as birds flew by stretching their wings as they went wherever they wanted to go.
Looking away from them, the shine of something caught my eye. When I looked, it appeared to be a giant...glass house.
I tried to get a better look but couldn't from the angle of the room. Huffing, I jumped out the window and landed on both bare feet before walking towards the glass house.
The nurse had come to the window and I waved as I walked away. I could hear her give a long sigh before quietly chuckling.
When I reached it, it was a really big glass house that could be seen through. Looking inside they were many trees and plants inside. My eyes widened.
I started to search for an entry so I slowly circled the glass building. Finding a door, I pressed on the handle and it was unlocked.
I slowly entered and looked around. The glass house was like a huge garden. It held different plants of heights, shapes and colors.
I kept my senses heightened. My hearing couldn't pick up anybody. I then shut the door behind me as I stared.
Trees and flowers of all kinds. Vines and stalks. It was amazing. Some I recognized from books like lillie's and roses. A sunflower here and there.
