Cassidy POV
🦋Blood everywhere. Smoke from every direction. A man crying. A girls face with blood dripping from it.🦋
“No!”
I wake up and find that I am still in the Library. I checked the time on my phone. I missed out on half of my classes. I have no idea how I’m going to explain this to my dad when I get home.
A pang of pain strikes through my left arm. I checked to see what was wrong. I get a huge fright when I see a splodge of blood. Did I knock into something? Why don’t I remember anything?
I stand up, grab my things and leave the library. Maybe I should make a turn by the nurses office… just in case.
I carry on down the hallway and make my way to the second fall. I keep walking until I can see the nurses office.
I knock on the door. When I walk inside she gives me a toothy smile. I tell her exactly what happened. She dresses my wound . She tells me that she think I must have fainted.
Isn’t that normally the excuse every time, just because I’m in high school. The worst of them all is the ‘stress' card.
I thank her for her services and leave her office. Once I’m out the last bell of the school day rings. At that time every classroom door swing open and swarms of students burst through the doors.
I join them and make my way to the exit. Lyssa and Bryson are already waiting for me by Lyssa’s car. “Where have you been?”
“Uhm… long story,” I shrug. “I’m guessing that maybe it had something to do with that,” she points to the bandages on my arm. I shrug once again. She doesn’t press any further since the only thing she is going to get out of me is a shrug.
The drive home is quiet or at least I’m quiet. My mind is to focus on what happened to me to even join in on Bryson and Lyssa’s conversation. Its weird I don’t doubt it but should I at least tell someone? Maybe I’m just making a huge fuss about something that’s really nothing.
