APPARENTLY NOTHING MUCH had happened since Valentina had become sick and was still forced to go to her grandparents' house with her parents. Not once in her life had she gone through such an annoying and strong flu like the one she just lived. She was lucky she survived (she said).

Topanga had said Cory and Shawn had been daydreaming about finally getting into the senior floor about half an hour. They were so delusional to the point of imagining about Mr. Feeny giving them Prime Rib as lunch and milkshakes, and Shawn making out with his History teacher.

Sadly, she was still recovering so she couldn't attend to their first day as seniors. Also because that was the day she was coming back from her grandparents' so she had an excuse. She was so sad because she wasn't there to make fun of their dumb daydreams and Topanga wasn't neither because she was busy with stuff. Stuff she had told Valentina about but she hadn't paid attention.

Valentina yawned as she woke up from her nap. Nap that consisted in sleeping all night and waking up at. . . 12:45 p.m. That was her usual nap.

At the next day, Valentina went down the stairs of Chubbie's behind Topanga and Cory. "And I mean, I must have shown Eric, like, ten places. He doesn't like anything. Okay, one place has a white fridge. He wants Avocado." Valentina smiled. "Then he insists on something with an ocean view so he can relax his nerves."

"An ocean view sounds nice."

"Yeah, it's not something from another world."

"We live in Philadelphia!"

"Stop snapping. I'm the girlfriend."

"And I'm the gorgeous girl."

"Say kiss."

"Kiss." After Topanga said that, both of them shared a kiss, causing Valentina to regret having went with them. "Sorry."

Valentina looked at her right and connected her eyes with someone else's: a blonde, tall boy, who was sitting on one of the sofas near them. She smiled at him, yet he just stared away from her. The girl frowned and looked at herself, but found nothing wrong. Had she done something bad? "Excuse me. New guy in town. Going to Pennbrook. Just got a three-bedroom apartment and looking for roommates."
