🧸 ( chapter four )
"AND AS THIS will be the last presidential election in which you do not cast a ballot, I want this classroom to be an open forum to discuss the issues which most concern your lives." Mr. Feeny finished explaining before standing next to Shawn. "Mr. Hunter, what issue most concerns your life?"
And even though Valentina had only known the boy for only a short time, she knew he would be talking nonsense as soon as he processed the question. "The swimsuit issue. Oh, and also that Valentina isn't dating me still issue." There it is, She rolled her eyes as she listened to the crickets' sounds in the middle of the silence in the class. "How am I doin'?"
"Boffo, Mr. Hunter." The teacher said, then walked and stood next to Cory who had his hand raised. "Mr. Matthews?"
"Yes. Actually, there is a pressing social matter which I feel equipped to discuss with confidence and alacrity." Cory commented confidently with a smile on his lips.
"Then you have the floor, Mr. Matthews." The man said and smiled.
"Nah, that used me up." The boy responded with a dejected grin, causing Mr. Feeny to sigh and then head to the left side of Valentina's seat.
"Miss. Allen, can you save us?"
"Yeah. . . the issue that most concerns my life is that Shawn is still flirting with me when I've told him several times I'm not interested in having a relationship for now, especially when we just met." Valentina sarcastically told her teacher as she stared at Shawn, who simply smirked at them. "How am I doin'?"
"Save us, Miss Lawrence." Mr. Feeny told her dirty-blonde friend.
"First of all, I'd just like to say," Topanga turned around to see her boyfriend and smiled at him. "that I think Cory's really cute for tryin'."
"Oh, thank you, sugar." They both smiled. Valentina could feel herself start getting sick of their cute little relationship.
"And I think that the biggest crisis facing this country is the breakdown of the American family." Topanga said with a smile as she intertwined her fingers on her table.
