* i always think about "what if y/n ended up with (character) instead of tsukishima?" so here's a chapter full of what y/n's relationship with different characters would look like if she never got with tsukki *

KAGEYAMA TOBIO

"I'm home."

"Tobio," [y/n] called out as she appeared in the doorway of the entry hall with a smile. The male paused for a second, turning away from the door where he stood. A genuine smile spread across his lips as he approached her, wrapping his arms around her and pecked her lips. He made sure to be careful of her stomach, gently caressing the baby bump that was extremely noticeable. "Go take a quick shower, babe. Miwa-san and Mom wants to have dinner tonight."

"Again? I just wanna stay home and sleep." Kageyama muttered as he got down on his knees, pulling her shirt up to reveal her swollen stomach. He kissed all over her tummy, whispering his greetings to the baby inside. "Hi, princess. It's Daddy. Did you miss me?"

"She's kicking now." [y/n] giggled when the baby began to kick upon hearing her father's voice. This only made Kageyama's smile widen as he showered her stomach in kisses. "Tobi, stop, that tickles."

Standing up straight, Kageyama held her hands and kissed her lips softly, savoring the taste of her skin. Pulling back, his ocean blue eyes fell on her face, boring a hole into her. His gaze flickered around her face, scanning every inch of her carefully.

"What?"

Pecking her lips, he shrugged, "Just thought that I'm glad to have you," His hand rested flat against her belly, "And I'm glad to have my princess here too."

Flushing bright red, she felt her heart melt into a warm puddle of love. Pulling him down, she kissed him deeply and smiled into the kiss. "I love you."

"I love you too, [y/n]."

DENJI HOSHIOKA

"Denji, do you wanna go home or go on a date?" [y/n] said as she met the raven haired male by the door of their lecture hall. The male gently pecked her cheek, wrapping his arm around her waist. She pushed him away since he was blocking the doorway but kissed his lips when theyw were out of sight. "So?"

"Yeah."

"That doesn't answer my question." The girl couldn't argue with him because of the smitten look he had on his face. After watching [y/n] go through so much after her breakup with Tsukishima, he had ended up talking to her more often to check up on how she was. After being around her so much, he grew to like her and she liked him too. Now that they were dating, she had ended everything she had with Tsukishima and was happily dating him. If he never comforted her, he wouldn't have dated her now. "Let's just go home. I can make dinner for you, Akemi and Yato."

"Okay. I'll help." He pecked her lips, interlacing their hands together.

"No, please don't. You're too much to handle in the kitchen." [y/n] shook her head as she led him out of the building hand in hand. The male rolled his eyes and squeezed her hand.

"Why? I'm a good cook."

"That's not the problem. You get turned on every time you see me in an apron." The girl shot him a flat look, earning a cheeky smile in return. "You're a nuisance, you know that?"

He chuckled, "I'm your nuisance."

"A big one, to be precise."

USHIJIMA WAKATOSHI

After spending nearly a year with the blond male who she had a exes with benefits arrangement going on with, she had stopped it all after she made the mistake of drinking a little too much alcohol one night while she was out with Ushijima Wakatoshi.

He had been invited to drink with her since they were a bit of high school friends who liked to enjoy a few drinks together from time to time. This time, she had accidentally chugged down Ushijima's cup of liquor that hit her harder than before. It didn't help that she had no food in her system, which led to her getting drunk easier.

Ushijima was barely even tipsy, but was willingly coaxed into drinking more until he got drunk. It was a big mistake on both parts to even get to that point where they couldn't think properly. Once the bar closed and they were forced to leave, Ushijima and [y/n] ended up at a nearby hotel to continue the small kisses they shared in the bar.

When morning came, they both sat in the bed with a look of disbelief of their faces. Lucky for her, Ushijima was an understand and accepting guy who requested that they get to know each other a bit more so that he could take responsibility for making her unable of walking the morning.

Months later, [y/n] was proud to admit that she and Ushijima had made things official and were dating for real. Kageyama was happy for her since his feelings for her were reaching a low point now that he had Hinata. Ushijima was glad to treat her right and keep her at his side. She was his biggest fan.

"How does Tsukishima react to these relationships?" You may ask.

Tsukishima Kei had spent most of his life pining for the same girl. [y/n] was his main focus for so long. Once she had stoppped bothering with and began pouring her love into someone else's hands, he was conflicted. He didn't think he was easily replaceable like that. He thought that she wanted him as much as he did.

For a long time, it hurt. He would enjoy alcohol with his friends more often (safely and in a non-alcoholic way) and avoid the places where he'd meet her. For a really long time, his heart ached.

Day by day, the ache started to hurt a little less until he couldn't feel it anymore. The yearning he once had for [y/n] vanished along with that pain. He could look at her the guy she was with and genuinely say that he wished them the best. If she was happy, who was he to resent her for it?

His love for [y/n] remained in his heart, but that was the past now. Just because that love didn't work out doesn't mean that all love won't work out.

It was onto the next.
