"I'm nervous." [y/n] said as she sat at the vanity with her hands folded together in her lap. Hitomi stood behind her with a smile, fixing the hairpiece that Hitomi had worn on her wedding day all those years ago. "What if things go wrong?"
"Don't fret, honey. You'll get wrinkles and look old like me." The light-brown haired female said with a chuckle as [y/n] shook her head with a laugh.
"You don't look old at all, Hitomi. You might even look younger than me." The girl said as she stood up, turning around to face Hitomi who examined the girl's outfit. "How do I look?"
"Perfect." Tsukishima's mother couldn't help but feel proud of her daughter-in-law. So many things had happened in the past few years and now, things would finally be settled with a marriage between the two who had looked forward to it for a long time. Beyond those doors were a nervous Tsukishima who stood in front of the small crowd containing their family and friends. "You look gorgeous, darling."
Her lips curled upwards into a grateful grin. "Thank you, Hitomi. Not just for the compliment, but thank you for being here. My parents suck but it really feels like I've got a family when I'm with you guys. You guys made me feel so loved and I don't know how I can ever repay you for that."
Hitomi fanned the girl's face while doing the same to her own. "Oh, don't cry, honey! You're gonna make me cry too." Wrapping her arms around [y/n], she laughed with a slight sniffle. "You don't have to repay us. You joining our family was the best thing to have ever happened. All the love you feel is well-deserved. I hope you get so much love that you forget what it feels like to be empty."
[y/n] blinked furiously, looking up at the ceiling and taking a deep breath.
Little did Hitomi know, [y/n] had already forgotten what emptiness felt like.
She was loved.

"Are you done crying now?" Tsukishima asked as he wrapped his arm around his fiancee's— now wife's— body as the female wiped her eyes that continued to leak with tears. The two were sat at a table over in the front while the guests were busy mingling at the party. "Your eyes are turning puffy."
"Shut up. I can't help it." She said as a sob escaped her lips, her eyes growing more red from her constant rubbing. The blond reached up, patting her head gently as he looked around the room at everyone who had attended their wedding.
Don't get me wrong. She was beyond happy that she had been given such a big audience for her wedding today. But the happiness had overflowed and escaped in the form of hot tears that soaked into Tsukishima's shirt.
Her high school friends had showed up (they were mostly just the vb team) along with their significant others. Kiyoko and Hitoka showed up to congratulate her on her marriage and vowed that they'd always be close even though life was sure to get busy from now on. Everything was this day was just perfect.
"You're a crybaby." Tsukishima muttered as he reached up to wipe her eyes with the pads of his thumbs. The girl couldn't help but cry, burying her face into his chest. "I think you're drunk."
"Yes." The female said as she wrapped her arms around his body, situating herself in his lap for maximum comfort. Quivering, her eyes watered once again, "but I'm so happy. Life was so shitty without you, and I just wanted to be with you. I didn't think you'd marry me but you did. Why do you even love me?"
Tsukishima listened as the emotional drunk curled up into his arms, crying about how much she loved him. "Well, I hated you for one period of my life." He admitted blatantly, stifling a laugh when she stiffened. "But in that period of my life, you were the only thing I loved. From your dumb smile down to your weird crocs. As much I despised you, you were the only one on my mind."
Wrapping her arms around his neck, she held him close and pressed his lips against hers. He kissed back, tasting her salty tears. She pulled away, collapsing into his arms with her arms around his neck. "I love you, Kei." M
Sighing, he looked up as he gently caressed her hair. "I love you too, [y/n]."
