Chapter 2

"Diana I'm back" I shouted
"Okay sweetheart one second and I'll be there" she replied
"Okay" I said in a hoarse whisper, I opened the door too my room slowly and gazed around i walked over too my wardrobe and looked at the photos i had pinned up on the inside,
"I miss you guys" I sighed, hearing commotion outside my door brought me out of my daydreaming, I flung my door open and my eyes immediately went to the little child screaming on the floor and followed her line of view
"Stranger Danger!" Kaia Screamed at Darius, When i realised what was going on i burst out laughing Kaia looked up at me and pouted "Why are you laughing it's a big moody man, he could've kidnapped me" She said
"He wouldn't have kidnaped you Kaia, but the moody bit is true" I confirmed, "Go on Evan might invade your castle go fight him off" I smiled as she whipped her head round and sprinted to protect her castle
"Who is this" Diana questioned
"A-" I started
"Dragon rider" Darius interrupted
"What is it with you and interrupting people, we don't need your help to speak" I added and scowled at him
"Dragon rider!" Diana practically shouted, "Why is there a Dragon rider in my Orphanage, Wait, Audelia does that mean.."
"Yes this this little girl is a dragon rider" Darius said in a bored tone
"Yes and as you just heard Darius is overjoyed for me to join their little clan" I added
"I will meet you outside in 5 minutes" Darius said unamused, Darius turned on his heel and walked away avoiding the tornado of children sprinting down the hallway
"So your a dragon rider" Diana questioned raising an eyebrow at me
"I..well..yeah i guess i am" i replied hesitantly "what if I'm not what if the amulet malfunctioned, dragon riders all have immense power and i'm..I'm just normal" I sighed
"You were never normal from the day you were left on the doorstop of this place i knew you belonged somewhere special" Diana added sending me a smile "come on lets go pack your stuff, like that man-"
"Moody man" i added with a small smirk remembering Kaia's explanation
"Sorry mood man" Diana corrected " Like he said you only have a few minutes, so lets get started shall we!"

"I hope your ready because we are leaving even if you have one shirt in your suitcase" Darius huffed out
"I see your still a bundle of joy" I replied sarcastically
"We're leaving now child" He replied ignoring my previous comment
"I'll be there in a minute I just need to say goodbye" I said looking around for Kaia
"That's what the five minutes were for" he scolded
"She'll only be a few minutes Dar" Valentina added, appearing from behind Darius
"Don't call me that, and she better be" Darius whined as he was dragged out by Valentina

"Kaia!" I shouted, I was still trying to work out how i was going to say goodbye
"Yeah?" She replied running up to me with a big smile on her face
"What's that big smile for" I asked wanting to delay giving her the news
"DD gave me a sweet because i defended my castle" she informed me
I smiled and decided i might as well get this over with "That's great little one, but I'm going to be going away for a little while with those people to do something brand new" I smiled
"Like an adventure, are you a princess?" She questioned her eyes going wide with excitement
Diana let out a chuckle and bent down to move the hair out of her face "No, she's not a princess but she is definitely going on adventure"
Kaia turned to me "So your not a princess?" Kaia repeated again
"No I'm not a princess" I laughed
"Oh that's boring" She said running back to her game
"It's going to be okay, your going to do great" Diana tried to reassure me, "Power runs through your blood, Audelia I can sense it"
I sighed "I'll miss you, I'll miss you so much" i felt Diana's arms wrap around me and rested my head on her shoulder
"This is one little part in your life Audelia don't dwell in the past move into the future" Diana said "I'll just be another character in your book and it's time for you to start another chapter" Diana added raising my eyes to meet hers.

"Come on Dar lets get going" I said patting his pack as I walked out, I turned around as I heard a low growl and a muffled chuckle.
"Lets go, we're taking the train to just outside the city-" Valentina started
"And we're behind schedule so hurry up the both of you" Darius said taking long strides in front of us.
