Gloomy Morning

I woke up a little late today because of the sound of light shower of rain outside tapping on the roof. As I got ready for the day it seemed like the rain started to get a little worse. It wasn't long until I finished getting ready and left my room into the hallway. I turned off the lights behind me and closed the door. Then I walked down the hallway and down the steps to the living room. Then I turned on the lights so I could see where I was going. After I went to the kitchen and started to make breakfast.

 I had finished making the first part of breakfast which was bacon. Then I started to make the eggs and not long after their were footsteps of someone walking in "Morning pat.." They mumbled. It sounded like virgil.       I turned around to face him, I was right, it was Virgil "morning kiddo!" I said in my usual jumpy upbeat tone, noticing that virgil seemed like he wasn't fully awake yet. I figured it was probably because he hadn't had his morning coffee yet. "how was your night?" I asked         "pretty normal" Virgil said while he started to make coffee. "What about yours...?"             "It was great" I responded while going back to making breakfast, scrambling some eggs. "I did sleep in a little because of the rain so breakfast will be a little bit later then usual" I exclaimed.          I looked over my shoulder for a few seconds and Virgil was looking over at the window, he seemed like he didn't know about the rain until now. There was only a light down pore. "How long do you think the rain is going to last for?" He asked, but before I could answer I heard a voice from the entrance to the kitchen that said "Its going to be raining until about 2 am tomorrow. Also the rain is going to get worse thought out the day"        I turned around to see who it was and noticed it was Logan and smiled "Morning Logan!" I said        "Good morning Patton" Logan responded      "when did you get here" Virgil said       "approximately 34 seconds ago" He responded and then he cleared his throat and turned towards me "When is breakfast going to be ready?" he asked. "ummm" I looked at the eggs and then back "in about 5-10 minuets" I replied and then looked back at the scrambled eggs that were on the pan and flipped it. "well then if you excuse me I will go and read a book while I wait" Logan said and walked out. There was a ding in the background, I looked over for a few seconds to notice it came from the coffee maker, and that Virgils coffee was done. He was poring the coffee into a cup. Once he finished he looked over at me "I'm going to go to my room.." Virgil said      "Ok! I'll call you down when breakfast is ready" I said while starting finishing the last of the scrambled eggs and then starting to work on the pancake batter. "cya" he said        "Bye kiddo!" I responded before he walked out.
