The Gronckle buzzed around and I stepped out, cheers could be heard as I looked at my dad and he nodded as I let out a low whistle catching the dragon's attention. It drifted towards the sound like a bee towards honey, as Hiccup approached he 'knocked' it out with scratching, Astrid stopped her axe falling to side as loud cheers erupted. "We are late" Hiccup said grabbing my arm but Gobber grabbed the both of us as Astrid pushed the top of her axe at us eyes narrowed, "late for what exactly" she asked glaring at the two of us. "Today we choose our champions" Stoic shouted.

Gobber put his hook over Astrid and Gothi shook her head no, then she point at Hiccup and I and I gulped my eyes wide as I looked at me father in fear "You guys get to kill the dragons!" Gobber shouted and Astrid glared at us angerly as the twins lifted me into the air and Snoutlout and Fishlegs for Hiccup. I made an uncomfortable yelp in pain as fire like pain shot through my leg. 

I walked with Hiccup "we are leaving..." He said and I nodded firmly as he set down his sac and I gulped seeing Astrid with her axe. She startled Hiccup "oh ah! What are you doing here?" He asked looking at her nervous. "I wanna know what's going on, no one just gets as good as you two do..." I felt the air crackle slightly as I made a hand motion to stop her, "especially you" she said to Hiccup and I gulped as I followed in silence "you stay there!" She said to me loudly spinning on me. I yelped glaring at her "start talking! Are you training with someone?" Hiccup stumbled over words that shouldn't be hard "better not involve this" she motioned to his flight suit, I heard Toothless move and I knew we were in trouble when Astrid perked to the sound of it, "oh you got me... I am done with the lies... Drag me back and tell everyone" as he finished his sentence Astrid twisted his arm "agh! Why would you do that?!" He shouted. She knocked him down again "that's for the lies" then dropped her axe on his stomach "and that's for everything else" she said as Toothless made a roar noise. Toothless saw Astrid as she saw him, out of fear she knocked him and I down, Stormdancer too launched forward out of the tree she was in as Astrid went to swing at Toothless I launched up to stop my Skrill and Hiccup stopped Astrid and she gasped in shock seeing the Skrill and the Nightfury, "easy she's a friend" Hiccup and I said at the same time. "You scared him/her" Hiccup and I said at the same time and Astrid looked between us her eyes wide, "I scared them?!?!" She shouted. "Who are them!?!?" She asked "Astrid... Toothless.... Toothless... Astrid..." Astrid turned to me "Stormdancer... Astrid... Astrid.... Stormdancer" I said as Hiccup and I finished both dragon's let out low growls. 

As Astrid turned shaking her head like we were crazy, she ran off "duh du du, we're dead..." Hiccup said and I laughed as Toothless waddled away "Whoa, Whoa, whoa whoa. Where do you think you're going?" Hiccup asked as Stormdancer looked at me and I got onto her. We went after her, Toothless grabbed Astrid by the shoulders and put on top of a tree, I remained hovering on Stormdancer as she looked between us. "Hiccup! Sam! get me down from here!" She shouted and I allowed Hiccup to speak, "you have to give us a chance to explain..." Hiccup said and Astrid panted fearfully "I am not listening to anything you two have to say!" She shouted and Hiccup looked at me "then I won't speak just let me show you" Astrid looked at me before looking around. She climbed onto Toothless, "get me down from here..." She said firmly and I watched Hiccup carefully "Toothless... Down... gently" He said and I saw the wheels turning in Toothless' head "oh no..." I whimpered slightly as Toothless got ready. 

As Toothless launched I followed quickly on Stormdancer her wings hitting the air just as hard and keeping up, Astrid was screaming at Hiccup was trying to scold Toothless. Toothless then dove towards the water, "Toothless what are you doing we need her to like us" Hiccup said as I stayed high enough above the water. As Toothless went up he began to spin "and now the spinning" he said as Astrid yelled in fear, "Thank you for nothing, you useless reptile" he said as Stormdancer and I laughed slightly. Toothless began to just free fall causing random flares within the falling, "Okay! I am sorry! I am so sorry!" She said wrapping her arms around Hiccup, jealousy pricked my stomach but I put it away since she would have fallen off otherwise. 

Toothless eased up and began to fly calmly as I glided next to him, I looked at Hiccup who glanced at me and smiled. I hummed in thought as the sun began to set Astrid seemed pretty scared, but I would have been too, Stormdancer let out a purr and glanced at me. We started to fly into the clouds the wind blowing gently on us,  Astrid put her hands into the clouds smiling and I too smiled at seeing her joy. Stormdancer followed Toothless as we flew together, I looked at Hiccup who was staring at me and I moved my head to the side, he snapped out of it and looked forward. We went up above all the clouds to see a darkening sky as lights flashed across the sky I smiled as I felt eyes on me again, my silver gaze moved to Hiccup and he blushed slightly looking forward. We emerged from behind clouds to see Berk, my breath still taken away from the beauty of something so far away my eyes traced everything and I smiled happily. We flew back into the clouds and chills ran up my spines in fear, I saw more dragons and my body shivered, "oh Thor..." I mumbled as I ducked low on Stormdancer as she hissed at a few dragons but followed. I had read that Skrills never travel with other dragons and unease pricked at me until no other dragon actually did anything, I looked at Hiccup who was looking at me fearfully as we followed the large thing of dragons. A Hideous Zippleback looked at me and I looked back as it seemed to smirk in a way, the dragons began to dive we followed in silence as Stormdancer and Toothless broke ranks and I looked at Hiccup again. "It's... A hive" I said and they looked at me "but they are just throwing their kill into there..." Astrid said and I nodded, "yeah watch..." A half asleep Gronckle buzzed forward a dropped a single tiny fish and started to scratch behind it's ear gleefully. A loud rumble made Toothless and Stormdancer flinch, a large head poked out and grabbed the Gronckle I watched the head about to go back down. "We overstayed" I said hurriedly as we went to leave a loud roar as the queen grabbed a Hideous Zippleback.

We flew quickly to the ravine, as we landed I looked at Astrid who hugged Hiccup then looked at me her eyes shameful. "I am really sorry for the way I treated you Sam... It wasn't fair..." She said and all I did was limp forward and hug her, "no apology needed, you were trying to protect your home, I would have done the same" I mumbled gently to her and she smiled as she grabbed her axe and turned again, "what you guys going to do about the fight...?" She asked and I sighed and shrugged "what we can do" I said smiling and with that she left. I looked at Hiccup warmly, my eyes glittered in the moon as I approached and pressed a quick kiss to his cheek. "Thanks Hiccup" I said and walked away, Toothless looked at Hiccup in shock.
