The Cross Reality: How To Train Your Dragon

Going to Berk (1)

I sat in my room drawing, I have been friends with the Skrill for about a month now and my father knows, he is a bit uneasy about it since seeing the scar on my leg. He wanted to go to a different island to see if we could be friends with the far neighbor island of Berk. I know the Chieftains name is Stoic the Vast and it made me worried as I boarded the ship with my dad, I was the Chiefs daughter so I had to go with my dad and a loud thud was heard as the Skrill landed on board and purred at me. My eyes moved to the dragon and I smiled amused as I approached her I found out her gender was female and it made me excited, I stroked her head gently and my dad looked at her, " I have never seen a Skrill around here before" he said and the Skrill looked at him distrustful and wrapped her wing around me and I chuckled, "hey easy... He is a friend" I said and the dragon looked at me and I smiled at her. 

We set sail as the Skrill remained flying next to the ship her wings allowing the sail to move more, I looked out to the distance to see new dragons and I saw a Scauldron we have two in our bay and they are amazing to feed amusing and adorable, we dedicated them our island protectors as they have stopped most dragon trappers and angry Vikings off of our island. 

The Skrill landed on our boat as we approached the Berk Harbor the Viking statues made my skin prickle when I looked at the island of Berk and I noticed they were being attacked by dragons. The Skrill looked at me and I saw a small collection of area around Berk and I hummed "dad... I am going with the Skrill" I said and he nodded kissing my head and I approached The Skrill, I got onto her back as she adjusted herself gently and allowed me to get comfy she took off into the clouds to stay out of the way, but as we got high a net blew past hitting a large black creature that was in front of us and the dragon went down towards one of the islands. My eyes widened as the sun began to rise and I knew I would get into trouble if I didn't get out of sight so I followed the trail to where the large black dragon went down, I looked back at Berk as did the Skrill as my father approached the much bigger Stoic and they hugged and shook hands much to my dad discomfort and my eyes widened seeing a monstrous Nightmare chase a boy down a cliff. "Come on girl dive we need to help him, if it helps I can jump down okay?" She let out a short roar as we dove making the air crackle, the boy looked around for an escape as the large dragon roared at him as the boy ran behind a fire pole the Skrill and I landed hard causing dust to go up and I jumped down quickly, I approached the Nightmare a soft whistle and the dragon looked at me its large body lit aflame and it let out a loud roar and I stood my ground still whistling softly. I put my hand forward and rested my hand on its snout, "go... You are not safe here" I cooed to the dragon and it did as told and as I turned Berkians had weapons drawn on The Skrill that looked at me and I let out an exasperated sigh, "leave her alone" I said and let out a yelp when someone threw a net on her. "NO!" I shouted making everyone look at me including the boy that was being chased by the Nightmare, I managed to get the net off my friend and motioned for her to leave and she did but I knew she would be there if I whistled. 

"Who are you? and why did you just allow that Skrill to leave!?" I heard a gruff angry voice and I knew this was going to be a fun conversation, I turned to be met by a red haired gruff looking man. "Stoic she saved your small fry from a Nightmare just by whistling at it and calming it down... When we tried to capture the Skrill she told us no and told it to leave..." I looked at Stoic and my blood boiled slightly, "so you are the Chieftain of this island?" I asked crossing my arms and looking at the bigger man as he glared at me from behind his bushy hair. "Sam! Okay... I am glad you are alright" my dad said hugging me slightly and I looked at him "I am alright dad, thanks" I said warmly and Stoic looked between the two of us. "She's is the daughter you were speaking of? She saved Hiccup from a Nightmare and is friends with a Skrill do you know how barbaric that is?" Stoic asked and I rolled my eyes annoyed. "Gobber take Hiccup and Sam to the house, don't let them out of your sight" Stoic said roughly "I have matters and an agreement to sign with her father" Stoic said and a peg legged man with one mechanical hand and foot limped forward. "O' Course Stoic" He said smiling through his long beard and his stone tooth. 

I followed quietly my hair braided as we walked past the teenagers and I looked at them my silver eyes studied them, a bigger boy was being picked on by twins, then a buff guy was watching Hiccup and I while a blonde girl looked at me her blue eyes pierced mine, my silver eyes pierced hers and I smirked and kept walking. "I am Samantha Kari, you can call me Sam what's your name?" I asked the boy I saved and he shrugged and Gobber chuckled "oh come on boy we all know you can talk it's all you know how to do" Gobber said and I sent Gobber a sharp look with my eyes but he didn't see it because he was in front of us. "My name is Hiccup Haddock the Third" I nodded and smiled at him slightly noticing the small scar on his face and I moved my head to the side, "I never knew your island existed until my father told me last night you and your father were coming... I have never seen a person calm a Nightmare down... And you had a Skrill" Hiccup rambled and I looked at him calmly and amused "yes I do" I said smiling at him warmly Gobber snorted "no one can calm those monsters down let alone a Nightmare" Gobber said and Hiccup rolled his eyes. 

As we approached the house on the hill Gobber looked at the two of us "stay here" he said and I rolled my eyes and nodded, Hiccup dragged me inside and we waited hearing Gobber's wooden foot hit the rock. "Come on... I hit a Nightfury" he said and my brow furrowed I hadn't heard of a Nightfury before.
