I followed boots crunching leaves and twigs, I allowed the Skrill to explore Berk for a little bit, "I haven't named her yet..." I told Hiccup and he looked at me confused and I met his gaze "The Skrill, I am going to name her" I said and he sighed "Skrill's are deemed untamable" he said and I glared at him "no they are not" I said stubbornly, he sighed and turned on me "prove it call her here now" he said and I looked at him before letting out a loud whistle and I got a roar in response. Wing beats later and I felt her land behind me and I turned to see The Skrill she purred her dark green eyes glowing happily, "woah..." he said in shock as I approached the dragon and rubbed her nose gently making her sneeze causing electricity to fly from her snout and hit the ground with a powerful force. Hiccup looked at me shocked as I smiled amused.

We kept exploring I allowed The Skrill to go again, calling her wasn't a game it was about trust and I trusted her with my life. "Oh my Thor we have been going at this all afternoon" Hiccup complained and I spun on him "you shot a dragon down... You are adamant about killing it so we are finding that dragon" I said scaring him slightly, I hated the thought of killing a dragon and followed Hiccup as he hit a branch and it smacked him in the eye making him yelp loudly and I let out a snort. But I looked past him to see upturned dirt, broken trees and exposed roots. "Hiccup... Look..." I said dumbfounded, Hiccup followed my gaze and looked out over the dirt and roots "oh my... Thor" he said before I sighed. "We have to be careful now..." I cautioned and Hiccup helped me over roots and under them as well, we got down and I noticed a rock and I walked around it to see a black dragon and my eyes widened and my jaw dropped "holy..." I said in shock as I approached the downed dragon carefully, Hiccup approached as well as he put his foot on the dragons shoulder I let out a squeak "probably shouldn't do that" I said as the dragon moved it's shoulder knocking Hiccup back, it startled me as I caught Hiccup who brought us both down and we made eye contact with the dragon. It was beautiful bright green eyes distrusting, tired, yet it looked like it was ready. I didn't catch what Hiccup was saying as I approached the dragon kneeling in front of it's head and it opened it's eyes again. It made eye contact with me and growled at me but I remained still, "we won't hurt you..." I whispered gently and the dragon looked at me as I heard ropes being cut and the dragon's eyes flashed in confusion as it's legs began to loosen. It launched out knocking me aside with its wing and holding Hiccup down with a talon staring Hiccup down, it huffed before letting out a loud roar that made me cover my ears.

The dragon took off but it hit a rock and crashed again, worry pricked at me mind as I sat up and looked towards Hiccup who stood let out a whimper and collapsed onto the ground. I let out another laugh as I eased my racing heart.

We walked back to Hiccups house Hiccup looked at the ground in thought as I looked at him, "you okay?" I asked and he shrugged "I saw myself in him... I shot down... Him for... No reason... I am a failure" he sighed and I slapped his shoulder "no you're not, you saved a life" I said and he looked at me unconvinced and I sighed "I will prove to you, that you are not a failure" I said firmly and he sighed and shook his head.

As we got back to Hiccup's my dad and Stoic were waiting there and I smiled at my dad who was talking to Stoic happily, "ah I see you two are getting along" Stoic said happily and I nodded firmly looking at my dad who was watching me then his gaze moved to my legs seeing I was favoring my one leg. "Sam... No more walking today" my dad said and I nodded and limped into the Haddock household, "Hiccup go help Sam" Stoic said as the three men followed and I sat down putting my leg on one of the stools and I rolled my leg up gently, to check the scarring wound. "Where did you get that?" I heard Stoic ask and my gaze moved him amused "The Skrill" I said without context and Stoic looked surprised as did Hiccup. "I went out exploring about a month back, I was sitting in my favorite clearing" I hummed in thought remembering the air crackling, "I felt the weather change, normally you don't feel the weather change... But I did that day, I felt the air around me crackle and in front of me was struck by lightning, then a second time next to my leg and of course it left a mark" I said motioning to the lightning jolted mark on my leg, "then she 'protected' me from trappers, then was trapped after she tried to finish me off... I rescued her along with two Gronckles, three Nadders, and a Monstrous Nightmare" I finished the last of my story and Stoic grunted "yeah right, I doubt that... Those beasts are nothing more then killing machines, you're lucky you weren't killed... Say would you think it be best your daughter and my son go into the dragon killing academy we have?" Stoic suggested to my father and I let out a sharp breath looking at my father who hesitated and sighed "I do not see why not..." He said looking at me sadly as I let out a low groan of frustration.

Hiccup set me up on a bed so I could rest my leg as he sighed, "I wonder why the dragon crashed when he took off to leave" I mentioned and he looked at me confused as I shrugged and sighed gently. "Who were the other teenagers?" I asked and Hiccup flinched and sighed "the are Ruffnut and Tuffnut Thornston... The big guy is Fishlegs Ingermen... The buff jerk is Snoutlout Jorgenson... Then the blonde blue eyed girl is Astrid Hofferson" I nodded absorbing the information he was giving me and I sighed looking up "I have a feeling they don't like me" I said puffing out my cheeks "trust me they will, they hate me but that's because I set everything on fire..." He said and I looked at him in thought before adjusting my sore leg.
