The Dragon's Nest (9)

I stood with Hiccup my hands on my hips, "if you plan on getting eaten... I would definitely go with the Gronckle" I heard Fishlegs say as Hiccup and I turned my mouth drew into a thin line before I smirked. "You were wise to seek help from the world's deadliest weapon" Tuffnut said looking between Hiccup and I and I rolled my eyes amused at his antiques, "I love this plan" Snoutlout said before Ruffnut punched him away "You're crazy... I like that.." She whispered the last part making me shiver as Astrid grabbed her braid and pulled her away. I chuckled remaining still "So what is the plan?" Astrid asked looking between Hiccup and I, I smiled and allowed Hiccup to explain.

Hiccup and I drew out the Nightmares carefully, I whistles softly to keep them calm the blue one was staring dead at me as I lined her up carefully Hiccup brought the red one to Snoutlout. He looked nervous as I stopped whistling and watching carefully as Hiccup grabbed Snoutlout's hand carefully and guided it to the nightmare's snout before Hiccup walked to the gear chest, "wait where are you going?!?!" Snoutlout asked and Hiccup smiled "you're going to need something to hold on" Hiccup said and I smiled as I turned back to the big blue female "hey pretty lady mind if I hitch a ride to save my girl?" I asked and the nightmare nudged me gently happily. I looked at the others as Astrid chose the Deadly Nadder, it suited her, Fishlegs took the Gronckle and the twins of course took the Hideous Zippleback. I smiled as I turned to Hiccup my eyes warm "you goin with Astrid or me?" I asked softly and he shrugged "I prefer the Nadder... Nightmares still scare me a bit... But if it makes you feel better I will go with you" he said and I smiled "I trust her... She won't hurt me" I said rubbing the female Nightmares snout gently. 

Hiccup hitched a ride with me as we rushed to the nest, the ride with the Nightmare was nice but I prefer Stormdancer. As we got to the beach a large green dragon roared and I looked down to see my dad with Stoic I looked tot he ships to see Stormdancer and Toothless, the other teenagers cheered as Hiccup instructed them to distract the queen. Hiccup and I dropped down on the blue Nightmare and I whistled softly for her to go she nudged me gently and took off into the mist, I turned to see that the ship was close to being hit. I looked to see Fishlegs and Snoutlout getting the big dragon by hitting their shields, but it not only was confusing the queen it was also confusing their dragons. I turned to see Hiccup apologizing to his father and his father sighed, I ran to Stormdancer trying to get the chains off as she purred at me and I smiled at her "I will never leave you girl" I said warmly and she cooed at me again. As Hiccup joined to get the dragons the ship was struck and it began to sink "Hiccup!" I screamed in shock as the ship went down I was furiously working at Stormdancer's ropes until something struck me, I felt cool air as I opened my eyes and I was on land again the loud roars of the big dragon woke me completely. Stormdancer shook herself but she looked down at herself sadly then I realized "dad! Skrill's can't get wet!" I yelled loudly my mouth forming a sad line, Stormdancer let out a screaming roar electricity danced across her spines and my brow furrowed "dry enough?" I asked and she nudged me and I looked at Hiccup who nodded firmly. We both jumped into gear, I got onto Stormdancer and he got onto Toothless, "Sam be careful...." My dad said firmly and I nodded and followed Hiccup to help Astrid was knocked from her dragon and Hiccup helped her I smiled as we struck the big dragon multiple times until it's wings opened wide. "UP!!" Hiccup and I yelled at the same time as we took off into the clouds we knew we could hide in the clouds, I could feel the air around me was static thanks to Stormdancer. As we got inside the clouds I couldn't see Hiccup but I could see the dragon, Stormdancer hit the dragon and rode the lightning to the other side of the dragon making it angry. Hiccup too struck it a few times before the dragon let out an all out stream of fire and I made eyes contact with Hiccup with an idea, Hiccup and I dove at the same time our saddles facing each other as the big dragon went to inhale. Toothless flipped and so did Stormdancer "not yet... Not yet... NOW!" Hiccup shouted and both Stormdancer and Toothless sent shots of lightning and plasma fire into the bigger dragon. The dragons eyes widened as it caught on fire, "come on Stormdancer" I said as we zipped through spikes, we worked our way up as Hiccup and I went to get to the top we were stopped short, Stormdancer and I were hit by a large fin and Hiccup and Toothless were hit by the tail. "Hiccup!" I yelled as Stormdancer dived for me wrapping me in her wings, something hit my eye and warm liquid covered it I was greeted by an uneasy darkness.

Third Person PoV

The tribe plus Sam's dad stepped forward uneasy, "Hiccup!!" Stoic called out loud Astrid looked out she was worried for her friends. "Sam!" Sam's father called out as well his eyes wide "I can't lose her too..." He mumbled as he saw two mounds his eyes worried as he raced forward with Stoic behind him, He looked between the Skrill and the Nightfury, "Oh by the gods..." He mumbled as the Toothless opened his eyes and removed his wings to show Hiccup but his foot was missing. Stormdancer let out a soft whine as she opened her wings to reveal a perfectly fine Sam her left eye was scratched up, but aside from that she was all and well. "Oh thank Thor..." Stoic said checking on Hiccup before looking between the two dragons.
