The Order began to crumble not long after they left just as Ben predicted.

He had his hand in it of course, tipping off the Resistance about Snoke's death and, after dropping the other two off to settle down in a house on the outskirts of a town situated on a green, woody planet in the Outer Rim and staying for their small wedding, returned to his mother to aid their efforts in defeating what remained of the galaxy's ruling force. Not that he didn't see them: he was the most frequent visitor of their new life.

And it was perfect. A far cry from the luxuries of the Order that they had become used to but that wasn't a bad thing, far from it. They were in control, they were free; that was all that really mattered. And now that Amelia had started to cut herself off from the Force, distancing herself from her past, that part of her life that she wished to forget, the stress and fear left her. She had all the time in the world for herself and Armitage and their son, Oscar.

Admittedly, when he was born, Armitage was a little hesitant, not entirely sure about taking him in true fear that if he touched something so precious he might hurt him, that such aggression ran in his blood. But he swallowed those fears to prove everyone and himself wrong and be truly brave for the first time in his life.

He was warm when he took him in his arms, wriggling and writhing to the point he was scared he would drop him so rested him in the crook of his arm and let the other support it, looking down at this life he had created for the first time ever.

How he felt...there was no real way to explain it, a moment of such joy he had never known and couldn't put into words. He had never been more proud in all his life, in all his years of victories and conquests this was so different and consequently he couldn't hide the ecstatic smile that graced his lips. He was beautiful...The best parts of both of them: green eyes and little wisps of hair that reflected a tiny bit red in the light.

"I'm a little...worried." Amelia muttered, curled up in his arms on the porch one night after putting Oscar to bed though probably not for long, exhausted as she looked out and up at the stars. A tired Millicent purred a little in her lap after a long day of rolling around in the grass and stalking the local wildlife. "That...I'll screw this up. That I might fail him because, I mean, I never had any real parents to learn from, nor did you and...we're so on our own..."

"You could never...You're the strongest person I've ever known. But I understand...there's no use denying it, I'm scared too. You know me...not exactly the most emotional type but I have hope, I have you and we'll be okay. Tired a lot of the time," he said and she laughed a little. "But, I mean, how badly could we really mess up?...We'll be alright, my love. You're already a perfect mother, I don't know how you do it."

"Hey...Don't put yourself down, you know you're brilliant. It's just...so much so quickly."

"Yes... it is but I'll always be here for you and him and I'll try my best. I'll never be perfect but I won't let you down." He gave her a smile and brushed aside her hair to kiss her. "I love you."

"...I love you..."

They were silent for a little while just having a well deserved break for a few moments, a gentle breeze brushing through the branches around them, rippling through their hair. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath of fresh air. This was it. All she needed...perfection.

Still, the hum of an engine overhead sparked her attention, her instincts kicking into action as it seemed to land close by, so she got up, leaning against the railing of the porch and looking out into the dark of the early evening.

"Hey, it's only me, Lia!" a familiar voice called out, followed shortly by its owner who stepped into the light bleeding out from the house and her face lit up. "You can stand down."
