It's a Family Business

Chapter 8

Akaashi walked you back to the Karasuno lounge. Before he opened the door he gave you a quick kiss on the cheek.

"I love you, have fun tonight and I'll see you later." He said and left after you bid him farewell.

You walked inside the private lounge to find Kiyoko waving you down.

"Y/n hurry it's about to start!" She yelled.

"Come on!" Yachi yelled too. You quickly walked over to the couch and sat down with them.

You were anxious as the lights in the stadium dimmed. A spotlight turned on as it was shining down on the announcer. The clans began to scream and cheer as the announcer introduced the first fight.

The match was between Lev and Semi. You turned to Noya and Tanaka to get their insight on the fight.

"Who's likely to win?" You asked them. They probably knew the most about fights here since Tanaka fights every so often.

"They're pretty evenly matched when it comes to fighting skills. But Lev has height over Semi, which he could use to his advantage. It could be anyone's game." Noya explained.

The announcer started the fight.

Lev went for the first strike, but Semi quickly dodged. With Lev on the offense, Semi tried to take out Lev's legs. However Lev knows his legs are a target and was prepared for this. He jump out of the way of Semi's attack before going to strike again.

The two of them went back-and-forth for a bit before Lev got in a punch. Nekoma went crazy but their little victory was short-lived when Semi had gotten Lev to the ground. Lev fought tirelessly to try to get back up but Semi had pinned him down which caused Lev to tap out.

That was a win for Shiratorizawa.

"Man, I really thought he would win this time. Lev has definitely improved a lot in his fighting skill." Tanaka commented. "I really thought he could pull it off though." He whined. He turned around and gave Suga money.

"That's what you get for betting on the newbie." Suga laughed.

"Yeah yeah Suga, no need to gloat." Tanaka said as he waved him away.

The next fight was between Iwazumi and Terushima.

Hinata jumped out of his seat.

"Okay who we betting!" He yelled. Kageyama grabbed him and pulled him back down.

"Shut up you moron." Kageyama yelled back at him.

You laughed at the two of them before you heard Yamaguchi.

"Y/n are you betting this round?" He asked you. He was writing the bets down so no one got confused.

"No, not this round." You told him. He nodded before continuing with his business.

The match between Iwazumi and Terushima went on for a long time. Iwazumi spat out blood at one point and Terushima got a black eye. The ring was covered in blood, spit, and sweat. In the end, Terushima came out on top, he was a clan leader after all. However the match was very close and if Iwazumi could've held out a bit longer he might've won.

After their gruesome match, a short break was taken to clean up the ring.

You were taking a small stretch break while you overheard your clan's conversations.

" The next match should be awesome."

"We're really in for a show."

"Who's up next?" You asked out loud to anyone. Asahi was the one to hear you and walked over to you.

"At this fight club someone holds the champion belt at all times. Now it's time for the current belt holder to go up against challengers who want it. Kuroo is up for the next fight."

"Isn't Bokuto the champion?" You asked Asahi.

"Yes, he's been belt belt holder for many years and Kuroo is his #1 rival."

You were nervous for Bokuto's fight but he was the champion, so you had nothing to worry about right?

Akaashi was currently in Bokuto's dressing room as you prepare for the fight. Bokuto was doing some last minute stretching before he had to go out.

"Bokuto." Akaashi called out to him, to get his attention. Bokuto hummed in response.

"You need to remember don't show off or overdo yourself tonight just because y/n is here. You'll get cocky and then Kuroo might get the upper hand." Akaashi advised.

"I won't! Akashi have more faith in me!" Bokuto whined. Akaashi walked over to Bokuto who had finished stretching and gave him a kiss.

"Go out there and do your best like you always do. We'll be cheering you on." Akaashi said smiling.
