It's a Family Business

Chapter 12

Once you return back to the Karasuno manor your father sat down with you in his office.

"What did you need to talk about?" He said in his nice fatherly voice. Despite him being a mafia boss he never acted like it around you. You only knew of the kind father who wanted to protect you. He never wanted you to see the cruel realities of the life you lived in.

You were so far into your thoughts that you couldn't hear your father trying to snap you out of it.

"Y/n are you all right?" Your dad asked concerningly, then you started to feel guilty. This secret could be a downfall in your relationship.

"I'm sorry dad."

"You're sorry for what?" He replied. His voice wasn't angry, only worried for his child's needs.

You took a deep breath and waited a second to collect your thoughts. "Tell me what's wrong." Your father said, trying to understand the problem.

"I've been keeping a secret from you for a few years and I need to let it off my chest." Your father looks concerned but let you continue. "I've been dating Bokuto and Akaashi for the past three years. I was planning on telling you when I found the right time, obviously I could never find a good time and I needed to tell you soon because Daichi threatened to take them away from me once he became head of the clan." You said as tears began spilling out of your eyes. You felt relieved because it was finally off your chest but now you had to face your father's reaction.

Ukai didn't say anything, he only stared at you with a blank face. His face showed no anger nor disappointment. He instead let out a deep sigh and grabbed his phone. He dialled a number and held the phone to his ear.

"Asahi? I need you to call Bokuto and Akaashi. I need them for an emergency meeting now." He said sternly. "And bring me a bottle of wine and a cigar." Before hanging up the phone.

"Dad?" You asked, hoping he would acknowledge you in some way.

"Y/n please greet our guests when they arrive, until then go to your room."

You nodded before exiting his office. You calmly shut the doors behind you then took off running to your room. You locked yourself in there and grab your phone, quickly dialed Akaashi's number.

When he picked up he already knew the reason you were calling him.

"Y/n we know. It's gonna be okay. We are already on the way." Akaashi said. Bokuto was driving the car as Akaashi was in the passenger seat. They had only gotten a call moments before you called saying they were being summoned to the Karasuno manor. Bokuto and Akaashi both knew what this meant, you finally told your father the truth.

"I'm sorry." You sobbed.

"Y/n there's no reason for you to be sorry and don't worry we'll be there soon." You could hear Bokuto's voice. Akaashi had put the phone on speaker.

"Y/n we'll be there as soon as possible. Don't panic, we are prepared to stand with you. We know you're scared so don't freak yourself out more. Just relax, okay?" Akaashi said.

"Okay. I'll see you two soon." You said before hanging up the phone.

You sat on your bed and let out a sigh. It would be about two hours before Bokuto and Akaashi would arrive at the manor. You got out of your outfit that you wore to the fight club and decided to take a long shower. You were somewhat hopeful that this wouldn't turn into a disaster.
