Jay's POV
I vaguely hear Ember snap the man's neck, before throwing herself onto her aunt with fury burning in her eyes.
"Jay! Jay!" Kiko fell to his knees beside me, stroking my hair as I whine. I hear a dreadful scream as Ember tears her aunt apart limb by limb. I choke, gasping on air as he carefully picks me up and takes me into my bedroom. I know I'm dying, and the pain is intense. He lays me on my bed, crying quietly.
"Mark! Call Dr. Randolf!" He calls frantically. Echo whines, chanting mate over and over.
"A-Ash." I say weakly, Kiko nods as he carefully slides one of his shirts over my naked form.
"Blade! Let everyone out, but don't let Autumn near here." Kiko orders, trying to wipe his tears away. I hear a mix of yelling and sobbing as everyone comes in, and the bathroom door banging open as Ash races towards me. Tears fall down my cheeks, hitting my wound and making it sting worse. Ash crawls into bed with me, tears going down his face as blood pours out of my mangled neck.
"Why isn't it healing? Why!" He yells, his head falling onto my stomach.
"Asher, her wounds are too... extensive. Echo and Jay are too weak, she's not going to make it." Mark says quietly. Ash punches the wall above my head, sobbing as he strokes my hair gently.
"No! Don't say that! Get a doctor! Call an ambulance!" He begs, I use most of my strength to take his hand and squeeze it with all the strength I could muster.
"A-Ash... I'm sorry." I wheeze out, pain shooting through me as I talk. He shakes his head, clutching me as hard as he could without hurting me.
"No! Don't. I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have said what I said! Just please don't go!" He cries. I faintly smile.
"I love you." I whisper, my eyes closing from exhaustion. He screams from his mental pain, sobbing loudly.
"Asher, Dr. Randolf will be here any second." Mark says quietly, just before his scent enters the house with the door banging open. Dr. Randolf races in, cursing when he sees me. I laugh weakly.
"Hey, doc. Nice to see you again." I laugh, coughing from the pain. He races to my side, getting a cotton ball and dousing it with disinfectant. He dabs at me wound, cursing before he just pours it across the wound.
"I hate vampires!" Dr. Randolf growls, his brown eyes worried though when he looks at me.
He presses against my neck, trying to stay light enough to not choke me. He tightly bandages the side of my neck after putting an ointment on it. "I love you, Jay. I love you so much." Ash cries, whispering over and over those wonderful words.
"I'm sorry. There's nothing I can do. She most likely won't make it, young Alpha." Dr. Randolf apologizes. Ash shakes his head, getting to his feet.
"Do everything you can! I will not let her die!" Ash yells, Echo whines in pain as another wave of pain goes through me. Nausea rolls in my stomach, making me quickly twist to the side and throw up on the floor beside my bed. Ember hurries inside, gasping at the sight of me.
"Why is there a vampire in here?" Dr. Randolf yells.
"I'm on your side, doctor. I killed the vampire who tried to kill Jaiyana." Ember says respectfully, and I can tell by her voice that she's bowing her head to him.
"She's dying! If you didn't have a human mate and a psychopathic family, she wouldn't be almost dying!" Ash yells. I slowly ease my way back onto my back, seeing Ash push Ember into the wall with his hand on her throat tightly. She gasps for air, her golden eyes wild with fear. Echo pushes her way forward using her strength to take control.
