Chapter Seven (edited)

"Um, are you okay?" The girl asks, I turn to her and study her. She has light brown hair with red highlights, blue eyes, and a tan. 

"Yeah. I'm just going to miss them." I mutter, brushing my hair away from my face.

"My name's Autumn, it's nice to meet you." She says with a smile. 

"Jaiyana." I greet with a small smile. 

"So, it's time for lunch and tomorrow we have class." She reminds me, I nod and brush my black hair away from my face. I follow her quietly out of the room. 

"I sit with my friends, but you can join us." She invites, I give her a small smile. 

"Yeah, okay." I accept, following her like a lost puppy. 

"So, we have to be in our dorm by eight and lights have to be out at ten. Dinner is at six and class starts at eight." She informs me, glancing back with a gentle smile. 

"Thank you for telling me." I thank her, returning her smile. 

"No problem!" She says happily and grabs my hand. She forces me into a huge cafeteria and drags me to a table with two other girls. 

I hesitantly sit down while the two girls stare at me. 

"You're so pretty!" The girl on the left exclaims. She has black hair like me but it's shoulder length and her skin is dark brown with rich brown eyes. 

"My name is Holly." She introduces herself with a beaming smile. I give her a small smile in return. 

"Jaiyana." I answer. The girl on the right studies me. She has blonde hair with golden amber eyes similar to my fathers. I sniff the air and smell vampire, she sends a small glare my way. 

"Ember." She hisses angrily and stands up. 

"I'm going for a walk. Jaiyana, do you want to come?" She says, I glare at her and stand up. 

"Let's go." I say stiffly. I follow her out to the hall and she rounds on me with a hiss. 

"Look here, werewolf. I will let you stay near my mate because she's your roommate. If you start to eat lunch with us, I will kill you. Only today, can you eat lunch with us. Tomorrow, you have to find someone else." She hisses, I growl lowly at her. 

"Bloodsucker, I keep humans safe from people like you. If you attack a human, I will kill you. I'm a Luna, so don't disrespect me." I snarl. She hisses angrily at me but doesn't do anything. 

"Find somewhere else tomorrow. I promise my mates life to not harm a single human." She promises me seriously. I nod. 

"Are there any other vampires or werewolves here?" I ask, she nods her head. 

"A guy vampire and two werewolves from the same Pack. I think they said Florida." She replies stiffly. 

"Thank you, Ember." I say and head back inside with a fake smile on my face. We finish lunch with tension in the air. I can't smell any werewolves or vampires, so they either must be older or younger. 

After that, I explore the school before heading back to my room. Autumn rushes past me and leaves the room as I enter. I check my phone before heading into the bathroom. 

My black hair is wavy like my moms, but my green eyes glow like jewels. I used to have dark brown hair, but it grew darker and turned black. My freckles aren't as prominent as they used to be, but you can still see them. 

I braid my hair up into a bun and start to clean the entire dorm. I have to shift once or twice a month, no less and no more. I've already shifted for this month, so I'll shift again next month.
