Jay's POV

"I'm sorry, what?" I ask into the phone, my family listening to me talk to some Alpha guy from like three hours away. The guy sighs.

"I'm Alpha Zeke. Your mate trespassed into our territory and we need you to come get him and prove to us that you're actually in heat and marked." He repeats slowly, as if I was stupid. A snarl rips from my lips.

"What's your address. Alpha Zeke? Oh, and tell my mate he's a stupid asshole. He paralyzed Miles." I growl into the phone, the Alpha chuckles at my choice of words.

"Will do, Luna Jaiyana." He gives me some directions and with a sigh, I write them down.

"Thank you, Alpha Zeke. I'll be there shortly." I sigh, hanging up. I curse my bad luck, turning to look at my expectant family.

"I need Blade, Jace, and ten warriors. All have to be mated. And I need them here within five minutes. And ready to run. Blade, I'm riding on your back. I don't want to exhaust Echo more than she already is. Cody, you can't come because you're well known in the wolf community. Same goes to Kiko and Mark. Matt and Max, you're coming with me as well. You may be unmated, but Ash needs some of his friends with us. Sam, I'm sorry, but you need to stay behind. I want you to watch over the Pack." I order, brushing out my ponytail to look more presentable.

Blade goes to inform Jace that I need him and ten warriors. I growl as I stalk to my bedroom, changing to better cover myself in case Asher's primal part of Adonis takes over again. The less skin I show, the less of a chance he'll get jealous. I throw on one of his sweatshirts, more for comfort than it is to help Ash.

I sigh, grabbing my phone and sliding my dagger around my stomach incase I need to protect myself. Heading out to the yard to see everyone I asked waiting. I smile, nodding to Sam. "Take care of Miles, okay? He needs water and food. Give him as much as he can handle because this is a change I don't know about. Asher was used to werewolves and grew up with them his whole life. Miles never trained like we did. Like Asher did." I request, Sam chuckles and nods.

"Of course. Miles is in good hands." He promises, I smile, swinging a leg over Blade's back and whistling for everyone to head out. Jace and Blade ran side by side, the guards surrounded us in a circle to protect me. I shout directions, telling everyone where to go until we come to a stop right outside the border. A border patrol waits for us, nodding to me when I release my Luna dominance into the air. In seconds, we're in front of a large mansion with an Alpha and his Luna waiting for me with their Beta keeping a tight hold on Ash.

I growl, leaping off Blade's back and glaring at Ash. He winces, looking down at the ground. "You. Fucking. Asshole. How dare you let your damn wolf force its way into control. I taught you better than that. Our old Pack taught you better than that. You paralyzed Miles. A human! He did nothing, Asher. And you will pay." I snarl, pissed at him. He whines, looking down at the ground.

"Jay, I'm so sorry. It's not like I wanted to hurt him." He whimpers, I pull him out of the Beta's arms and throw Ash onto the ground.

"You promised me when I asked you to mark me that you wouldn't be like this. You promised!" Tears bubble up, hurt that he lied to me. His blue eyes widen in shock.

"No, Jay. Please don't cry. I did, I know I did. But Adonis and I thought you wouldn't go into heat because it's been hundreds of years." He exclaims, I shake my head and look away from him.

"You promised me my freedom. You said I could be who I am, Asher." I whispered, a tear falling down my cheek. Warm hands that bring the loving tingles caresses my cheek, wiping away my tears. A whine slips from his teeth when I take a step away from his loving hands.

"Not now. I had to help Miles and I'm tired, Asher." I say curtly, wiping away my hot tears with a small cough. I turn to the Alpha, nodding my head in respect. "Thank you, Alpha Zeke, for keeping my mate and teaching him to obey wolf law." I say formally, the Alpha chuckles.

"It was our pleasure. How about you come in and we can talk more over a late lunch?" The Luna smiles invitingly, I slowly nod.

"Thank you, Luna. I am very-" I'm cut off by the most adorable little girl running out of the house squealing with delight. Matt's eyes widen in alarm, before they soften as he leans down with open arms.

"Matty!" She squeals, leaping into Matt's waiting arms.

"Hello, sweetheart. How have you been?" He smiles, his eyes warming with love and happiness I haven't seen for a long time. I gasp, they're mates. I know it.

"I've been good, Matty! How did you convince Daddy to see me?" She says with wide, innocent eyes. I bounce on my toes, questions tugging at my mind as I stare at them in shock and wonder.

"Well... I didn't. My Alpha was being very bad and ran away since he knew his mate, my Luna, would probably teach him a lesson." He whispers with a wink in my direction. I smile widely, but then Alpha Zeke roars loudly.

"LET GO OF MY DAUGHTER!" He shouts, looking ready to kill Matt. I throw my arms in front of a charging Alpha Zeke, and in seconds throw him down to the ground much to the shock of everyone around me.

"They are mates. There is nothing you can do to change that. I can promise you Matt will take care of her because he is my best friend and a brother to me. Please, just take a deep breathe." I plead, worried. Zeke snarls, but stands calmly. "If you hurt him, it'll only hurt her." I whisper, he growls and runs his hand down his face.

"Daddy, Matty's nice! He visits me every once in a while, when I'm in the garden!" She squeals, Matty frowns and looks fearful. I round on Matt, raising an eyebrow and crossing my arms.

"I went for a run one day and caught her scent. I didn't realize I was near a border because all my wolf could focus on was her scent. We crossed the border, and we watched over her for a couple months. But then I couldn't take it anymore. I sneaked into the territory and introduced myself. She knew I wasn't apart of the Pack, but she didn't want me to die. So, we got to know each other, and I don't want to leave her. Please don't make me leave her, Jay." Matt rushed out, his eyes widening.

"I mean Luna!" He exclaims, looking down in fear. I giggle, rolling my eyes.

"I couldn't make you leave her, Matt! I literally made you leave our old Pack when we were ten because of Ash." I smile brightly, turning to Zeke with a raised eyebrow. His Luna laughs at my expression as he huffs.

"Fine. He can see her. But I, or my beta, or my mate has to watch them at all times." He warns, Matt grins.

"Perfect." He agrees, I squeal. Jumping up and down, clapping my hands as Matt, Max, and Blade laugh at my happiness. Ash wraps his arm around my waist, and immediately my good mood vanishes. I slap his hands away, glaring at him.

"No." I growl, gently taking the Luna's hand. "I'm Jaiyana, but you can call me Jay. What's your name?" I ask with a giggle, she smiles happily.

"I'm Eve. It's very nice to meet you, Jay." She giggles, her blue eyes sparkling with joy.

"It's wonderful to meet you, too. Now, lunch?" I ask with a wink, she laughs and pulls me inside. She laughs.

"I like you!" She grins, winking at me. I laugh, following her into the kitchen for my long-awaited lunch.
