Nicole, Jeremy, Carmilla, and Laura were all in the stands at the soccer field. Waverly and the rest of the soccer team were warming up. Nicole couldn't stop smiling because of the fact that Waverly was ACTUALLY her girlfriend. Carmilla and Laura noted how happy Nicole seemed.

"Someone's happy today." Carmilla raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah, high school soccer that exciting?" Laura asked with a laugh.

"Oh yeah, just thrilling. I'm pumped to see Waverly play actually, a few people in class had mentioned she was really good." Nicole said.

"She is really good, like, colleges have been looking at her since freshman year good. No doubt she'll get recruited soon." Jeremy said while eating some popcorn he got from concessions.

"That's awesome, she deserves to have a million options for college." Nicole smiled as she saw Waverly kick the ball into the goal during warm-up. Waverly looked up at the stands at Nicole and flashed a smile before taking another shot. Nicole smiled back and bit her lip, Laura noticed this and so did Carmilla. They went off to get some more snacks, and started theorizing.

"You think those two are together?" Laura asked, looking back at Nicole.

"It's hard to say, but they're both smitten over each other that's for sure." Carmilla smirked.

"Why are they being so difficult? Can't they just get together?" Laura sighed, picking up a bag of M&M's.

"I guess we'll see." Carmilla shrugged as they went back to Nicole and Jeremy.

--

Waverly was stretching on the sidelines, as the game was about to start. One of her teammates came up and put an arm around her shoulder.

"Alright Earp, we ready to go undefeated again?" Waverly's longtime teammate and friend Riley asked.

"You know it." Waverly smiled. The two did their handshake they had since they were kids. Waverly was the captain of the team and Riley was the co-captain, so the two were a dynamic duo for the team. Waverly was their center forward, and Riley was their second striker. Colleges were looking at picking the two up together because of how damaging they could be on the field together. Jeremy explained all of this to Nicole, and she couldn't help but feel a surge of jealousy for a moment. They were just friends though right? Who cares.

"Don't look too jealous Haught stuff. Riley's got nothing on you." Carmilla nudged Nicole's shoulder and Nicole's cheeks went red.

"it's not like that I just....yeah." Nicole sighed and Jeremy quickly changed the subject back to soccer.

"Seriously though, watching these two play is insane. The level of chemistry they have as teammates makes for insane plays. You're gonna love it." Jeremy reassured Nicole, and just like that, the game was about to begin.

--

The game quickly began with immediate pressure on the Purgatory Devil's defense. The other school's offense was strong, but Waverly and Riley would be stronger, given the offensive opportunities.

The ball whiffed up the field, to Riley who got into position to pass it to Waverly for a scoring opportunity. The ball soared across the field and Waverly absolutely smashed it towards the goal. The goalie had no chance. Devils were now up 1-0, and the crowd was going crazy. Nicole was cheering for her girlfriend, who looked up to the stands and flashed a smile. The crowds for the soccer games were pretty insane because of the reputation Waverly had for being such a star player.

The game continued on with pretty much domination on Waverly's mind. Before the half they had already gone up 3-0. After that though, the other team started to play dirty.
