Emily's POV:

We got back to the BAU fairly quickly since I knew a quick shortcut to get their and avoid traffic.

"Hey pretty ladies where ya been?" Derek teased as we walked into the round table room.

"Making out." JJ said with a smirk.

This comment made me turn bright red. I mean I didn't mind it, I just never thought JJ would say something like that because I mean...she's straight? Right? Also we don't know each other that well.

"You good Em..you're looking a little, red." Penelope smirked.

"I-uh-you see.." I was saved by Hotch walking in.

"Okay let's get started." He said.

"Okay well today my crime fighters, you're going to be going to Vegas! Yay! I mean I wish it were under better circumstances...anyways Marvin Lord, Jessie Dean, and Corey Sparks were all found murdered in front of casinos." Garcia finished.

"Could this guy just really hate gamblers or something?" Derek asked.

"It's likely, but seeing as this unsub leaves them in such open areas where a lot of people would be and large quantities of people, means our unsub doesn't think he's gonna get caught.." Spencer stated.

"Okay let's brief more on the case and work on the victimology more on the jet, wheels up in 30." Hotch said standing up and leaving.

I was about to leave too when someone grabbed my wrist.

"Hey sorry about the thing I said to Derek earlier, it's just fun to tease him." JJ said looking at me with forgiving eyes.

"Yea of course it's fine I thought it was funny." She smiled at me then let go of my wrist walking out.

I followed shortly behind her walking back out to my desk.

"Hey Prentiss, JJ!" Derek called out. "You guys should put on a little show for us later." He smirked.

"In your dreams Morgan." I said back.

"Ouch! I'm hurt princess." He said smiling and gripping his chest.

I looked at JJ raising my eyebrows, as I walked to the elevator.

We all boarded the jet, I still sat fairly away from everyone, I didn't feel like I was accepted that much just yet.

"Okay everyone listen up. Derek Rossi head over to the crime scene, Dave I want you at the morgue and I would like the autopsy reports on all the victims. JJ you and Prentiss set up at the police station. I'll be working with detective Walker." We all nodded and went back to either looking over the case file or finding other ways to occupy our minds.

"Hey Prentiss?" JJ called out to me.

"Yea what's up?" I asked looking away from my book.

"Wanna play?" She held up a phone with an image of the game "Scrabble" across it.

"Sure fair warning though I'm pretty competitive." I smirked.

"Oh well then you don't know JJ too well." Morgan butted in.

After about 4 rounds of Scrabble all which I had one JJ started getting agitated.

"How the hell are you so good at this?" She said banging on her phone screen. "I give up!" She said throwing her phone down.

"Aww I was having so much fun." I fake pouted.

"People we are landing in 5 minutes." Hotch said.

With that we all got our profiler faces on, awaiting the horrors this job came with.

JJ and I walked into the police station, to be greeted by a man that looked high off his ass.

"Detective William LaMountagne." The man spoke.

"I-I though Hotch was with the detective?" JJ looked at me.

"Well they called me in apparently they are thinking these murders are connected with some 2 years ago." He said in a thick Cajun accent that was hardly understandable.

"Oh well could we see those murders, do you have the files on them?" I asked.

"Right this way." He walked off to a room.

"Alright I'll start looking over these, Emily call Hotch and let him know if he doesn't ready." JJ said.

"Okay on it." I said walking out of the room.

I finished the phone call with Hotch which was fairly short since he had already been notified about the other detective.

"Daniella Clemons put down the weapon!" Derek spoke harshly.

"NO! He deserve EVERYTHING that I've done to him!" She said tightening her grip on the gun.

Detective LaMountagne lowered his gun and stepped closer to her. "Daniella, my name is William LaMountagne." He said.

He eyes grew softer and her grip started to loosen.

"My daddy was on your case that night at the casino." He said stepping closer and closer.

"W-Where is he?" She spoke out.

"He died in Katrina. Just give me the gun and we can go, okay no one else has to get hurt." He said reaching out for the weapon.

She stared off into nothingness as she handed the weapon over to LaMountagne.

Derek came up from behind her and put her into the handcuffs, taking her out to a squad car.
I watched as Will walked out of the room devastated, even though we caught the unsub.

I was about to get into an SUV when I over heard a conversation that involved a certain beautiful blonde.

"Hey Will...I umm I heard what you did in there, and I was wondering if maybe some time I could take up that offer about that drink?" She asked.

"Sure thing Cher." He smiled back.

She handed him her business card. "Here despite what they tell you phones can be good for your health." She said walking into the SUV I was now climbing in.

I was silent the entire way back, and the entire jet ride home.
My heart had never ached down much, and I didn't even know why.

We have the day off tomorrow, maybe I'll go talk to Apollo they'll know what to do.
