Emily's POV:

I woke up early this morning, despite the fact of not having work.
Going to take a shower while planning out the events of today to the T.

First I would get ready obviously, then I would go up to the cafe to talk to Apollo about the whole JJ situation and how I'm feeling, then treat myself to a little shopping just to update my wardrobe a little.

After getting out of the shower and doing everything else necessary in the morning, I quickly threw on an every day outfit and was out the door.

I didn't feel like rushing to the cafe, so I took my time in the car just vibing to music and actually taking in the things that surrounded my apartment.
I didn't even know there was a strip club not even a block away.
Learn something knew everyday.

I finally pulled up to the cafe and pre-checked myself in the mirror, before stepping out my car and walking in.

As I was walking into the coffee house, I noticed an all too familiar blonde informs of my in line.
I purposefully dropped something cursing under my breath, hoping the woman in front of my wasn't who I thought it was.

Low and behold, Jennifer Jareau turns around to face me.

"Emily hey!" She smiled brightly.

"Oh hey JJ." I smiled standing back up.

"Ahh there are my two favorite ladies." Apollo said as we both walked up to the counter.

"Hey Apollo." I spoke.

They waved back sending JJ a glance, which she replied with a death stare.
It's like they were communicating with their eyes.

She cleared her throat before talking. "Okay anyways," JJ said looking directly at Apollo then smiling at me. "I have some news so Apollo come meet us by the window seat." She said taking a seat.

Apollo knew our orders so we didn't really worry about that too much, but I was dying to know what JJ's news was.
After a few minutes of waiting Apollo finally sat down next to us with a tray of coffee.

"Okay I'm wasting my precious break time for this, so it better be important." They said sipping their coffee.

"Oh shut up and listen." She said taking her coffee from the tray and speaking again. "So Emily remember that detective from our last case Will? Apollo I sent you a picture of him." She said.

"Yea how could I forget his accent haunts my dreams." I said sarcastically sipping my coffee.

Apollo burst out in laughter at this, which JJ rolled her eyes at.

"Bitch..you got knocked up didn't you." They said slapping their hand over their mouth.

I went silent at this comment, praying it wasn't true.

"No...but we are dating." She smiled.

I don't think a sentence has ever hurt so much.

I felt my face droop, to which I quickly picked back up plastering on a fake smile.

"Omg Jayje I'm so happy for you!" I said giving her a half hug from my seat.

It was merely seconds later before her phone pinged.

"Oh that's Will I gotta go we are meeting up for lunch." She said grabbing her stuff and leaving.

I watched her leave and then focused my eyes back on Apollo who has theirs drilled into my skull.

"What?" I asked nervously.

"Jayje?" They mocked the nickname.

"Y-Yea what about it?" I nervously chuckled.

"Babe..I don't even call her that, and honey I'm no profiler but," they leaned in closer. "I can see the heart eyes from a mile away." They said smiling.

"What are you talking about?" I asked sipping my coffee to avoid this conversation.

"Do I have to put it on a billboard? Emily Prentiss you have a crush." They smirked.

"N-No I most certainly do not." I stammered.

"Keep telling yourself that, and the heart break will only hurt worse." And with that they got up from the table, leaving me alone as always.

I drove around checking more things out, stores, boutiques, markets.
Really anything I didn't notice before.

I ended up shopping and exploring for about 3 hours. Time seemed to fly by so I didn't even notice.

As I was reaching my apartment, about to unlock my door my phone rang.

"This is Agent Prentiss." I spoke clearly.

"Hey Em it's JJ." Her voice was music to my ears.

"Hey Jayje what's up? Do we have a case?" I asked.

"No...but umm what was the name of your cat?" She asked.

I made a weird face even though I knew she couldn't see it, "umm Sergio...why?" I asked.

"Welp he found his way to my house." She chuckled.

"Really?! You found him oh I've been worried sick." I said.

"Yea no problem I'm about to pull into your apartments garage so I'll see you in a few." She said.

We both said our goodbyes, before I finally finished opening my door.

As I was walking to put my things in my room, I tripped and spilt my coffee all over my shirt.

"Dammit." I cursed under my breath.

Slipping my shirt over my head, I inspected the stain.
Luckily I was good at getting them out by now, so I made my way to the laundry room.

As I was scrubbing my shirt, I decided that it just may need to be washed a couple times so I three it in the washer.
The doorbell caught me off guard and made me jump a little.

I walked to the door, and looked through the peephole. It was JJ.
I opened the door, totally oblivious to the fact that I no longer had a shirt on.

"Hey Em-" her eyes seemed to scan my body multiple times. Was I just imagining this?

"Oh sorry I-spilt coffee on my shirt." I chuckled.
"Here come in and just set him down I'll be right back." I said running up the stairs.

Did Jennifer Jareau really just see me in my bra?
It wasn't the way I hoped it would've been but hey I still think she might've checked me out.

"Okay that's better." I said walking down the stairs.

She was admiring my trophies and photos I had scattered across the mantle above my fireplace.

"Thanks again for bringing him back." I said picking up Sergio and petting him.

"No problem." She said coming over to pet him also.

"You know it's crazy, he doesn't let most people touch him, let alone hold him." I chuckled.

She stared me dead in the eyes before she spoke, still petting his head.

"Well...I'm not most people." She smiled.

I smiled back and we continued to just stare into each others eyes for what seemed like an eternity.

"Well I guess I better be going." She said abruptly breaking eye contact.

"Y-Yea thanks again." I said still dazed.

"Bye Emily...bye Sergio." She said in a baby voice.

I smiled at that.

As the door closed a thought exploded in my mind.

I'm crushing.
