Bumpy Roads

No time to change.

Elle's  POV:

"Okay Elle, what super important information did you have to tell me that made you take our 9am lunch to 7 am?" Penelope asked chugging her coffee down.

"Well...it's about Prentiss." I said trying to keep myself from fangirling at the thought of ship names.

"Oh! I have some lovely information about her as well. Shall we share on 3?" Penelope said. She loved a good gossip.

"Fine by me. 1"

"2."

"3!"

The answers that came out were completely different.

"EMILY HAS A CRUSH ON YOU!"
"EMILY HAS A CRUSH ON JJ!"

"Wait what?!" We said simultaneously.

"No that's impossible, Emily most definitely has a crush on you she told me herself when I asked her about it." Penelope gloated.

"What exactly did you say Pen? Because by the looks of how Emily can barely look JJ in the eyes I'd say that Emily is a little lover boy for JJ, not me."

"Well at the party last night, when you and JJ did that fake swerve kiss thing you guys always do, Emily looked a little upset so I told her not to worry and that you guys are just friends. She looked confused and I told her I saw the way she looked at you. She turned even more pale which is saying a lot since she's basically the color of a piece of paper. And I said I knew she had a crush on you and it was no big deal to me. She looked so glad that I knew." Penelope said proud of herself.

"Penelope."

"Yes my love."

"Never become a profiler." She looked confused. "The reason Emily was probably so glad you knew she had a crush on me was probably because she actually has a crush on JJ, and figured she could use that as a cover." It took a second for the wheels to start moving in her brain, but once they did I didn't think they'd ever stop.

"OH MY GOSH! THAT MAKES MUCH MORE SENSE! PRENTISS LIKES JAREAU!"

"Jeez tell it to the whole city why don't you." I said trying to quiet her down.

"Come on we are going to my house to change the "Prentiss and Greenaway ship names" book, to the "Prentiss and Jareau ship names" book!" Penelope said grabbing her purse and getting up.

"Why am I not surprised that's a thing?" I said to myself before following her.

Emily's POV:

"So Emily tell me more about yourself. We really haven't gotten that much of a chance to talk." JJ said as we sat on my bed.

"Well there's not really much to tell, my life is kinda boring." She looked up from playing with the strings of my shorts.

"Come on there must be something interesting that's happened to you." She said scooting closer to me.

"Umm, well there was this one time in college, where I was at my fraternity's party, and everybody was in or by the pool but I was on the roof. Jennifer when I tell you I got so high I fell off the roof into the pool, and a girl had to give me cpr for 15 minutes straight." I started laughing at the memory.

"I liked that." She said staring at me.

"The story of me almost drowning to death?" I said sarcastically.

"No, the way you called me Jennifer. Usually I hate when people use my name instead of JJ, but it sounds so good when you say it." She said still staring at me.
