LORI DINAH STONE, KNEW SHE WAS PRIVILEGED, SHE CAME FROM TWO WEALTHY parents and she had her trust fund to rely on. Her older brother Derek Elliot Stone, was definitely her favorite person in the entire world. It was the two siblings against the world. Lori and Derek's parent, James and Lydia divorced when the Stone siblings were young, making Lori and Derek split their time between Tree Hill and New York. Their mother, Lydia preferred New York, the city life, while their father preferred the calm of Tree Hill. Derek took more to Tree Hill as did Lori, it felt like home, but Lori couldn't deny her love for New York.
Lori didn't exactly believe in love, she had boyfriends, and they weren't horrible but she wasn't in love with them. Her last serious relationship, was with a boy named Mason Hayes, a year and a half, the two broke it off a few months before graduation. She arrived to New York single and ready for her new chapter, but she definitely wasn't ready for what was coming next.
In a caffe in New York, is where Lori met Richard 'Rick' Sullivan, and her life took a drastic turn. It was just her first semester of college, her first year of college, and the two hit it off. The two quickly fell in love and Lori fell pregnant with what would become Liv and Junior.
Lori Stone was terrified of the pregnancy test she held in her hands and telling her boyfriend—were they even official? "Omg my parents are going to kill me." Lori groans. She knew she had tell Rick, and they would come up with a decision together on the baby. She did tell Rick and he just sat on there in silence trying to process this life changing information.
The two stayed together and decided to raise their babies, and Rick drops out and enrolls into the police academy. Her parents were disappointed in her choices, but came to love the twins. Rick got a job in his home town, moving Lori and the twins there, he climbed the ranks easily, Lori took time off school and got a real estate license and took care of Liv and Junior, not trusting daycares.
Before giving birth, Rick asked Lori to marry him but she declined, she didn't want to marry him just cause she got pregnant. She wanted him to marry cause he loves she because he doesn't want to spend the rest of his life with anytime else but her. Rick asked a few months after the twins were born, before he got a job in his home town. Lori accepted this proposal, not before finding out who Anastasia was, and how much she meant to her fiancé. A few people in the town had made comments to her, and she could tell she wasn't warmly welcomed. The stupid town seemed to be stuck in their old ways, and it was used to Rick and Anastasia.
Rick and Lori official tied the knot, Shane even came back home for the ceremony. Shane who just so happens to be Anastasia's older brother, and was away at college. She met him a few times before she married Rick, and he wasn't exactly welcoming towards her, but he wasn't rude, not like she could blame the guy, who would blame him for taking his sisters side.
