MAGGIE AND ANASTASIA ARE WALKING DOWN ONE OF THE HOSPITAL HALL, AS ANASTASIA tells her about her life in Seattle, providing a much needed distraction. Anastasia tells her about her children, about her husband, about their dog.
"How did he propose again?" Maggie asks her.
"Mid fight." Anastasia says with a small smile breaking free on her face. "He told me he didn't want to do this with anyone else but me, even if it meant fighting." Maggie awes in happiness. She was really happy for Anastasia, she deserves all the happiness. The woman had a hard childhood. "How are you doing Mags?"
"I'm holding on." Maggie says honestly. Anastasia nods, she knows how much Rick means to her. How much his family needs him. Anastasia wants him to wake up so desperately, she still cares for him, and he needs to see his children grow up. "Gotta be strong for daddy, Lori, and the kids." She says.
Anastasia stops walking and steps in front of Maggie, holding her hands in hers, "It's okay to cry." Anastasia tells her sincerely, . "I'm here, if you ever need a shoulder to cry on."
"I'm terrified." Maggie tells her as tears escape, and Anastasia nods. "I don't want him to die, he's Rick. We need him." She says falling apart in Anastasia's arms. "I need him to be okay Ana." She sobs out, and Anastasia holds her caressing her hair, soothing her as she cries her heart out.
VERONICA DROVE JUNIOR AND LIV TO THE HOSPITAL, CARL HAD BEEN PICKED UP BY Derek and driven there after school. The drive was a quiet one, the trio didn't have much to say. The school day was a long one, one the twins dreaded. They were to be reunited with their paternal family, usually they looked forward to it but during such a tragic situation they weren't.
Vero looked over at Junior anytime they were at a red light concerned, and she checked on Liv through the rear view mirror. The both look so dam sad, she felt an ache in her heart not being able to make them feel better. She wanted to do desperately to make things better for the Sullivans.
CARL WASN'T SURE WHAT TO EXPECT, LAST NIGHT HE SLEPT IN LIVS ROOM, HATING how lonely the house felt.
Last night the Sullivan home was eerily quiet, not that they were a rowdy bunch but there was always a talk going on, or an argument. The house didn't feel empty, now like right now. Derek drove the kids home, while Lori stayed with Rick. Derek would stay the night with the Sullivan children, in the guest room. Carl did his night routine, and then he had made his way to Liv's bedroom finding her finishing up her night routine in bathroom, the one that connected hers and Juniors bedroom.
"Can I sleep here tonight?" He asks her and Liv gives him a small smile and nods. He went back to his room for his blanket. When he came back he found Junior on the bed. "You're sleeping here?" Carl asks his older brother who nods. Often when the twins were sad, they usually sat with each other or slept in the same room, their family had a joke that the two were joined at the hip. Their parents often worried what would happen if the two went to different colleges, they'd never been apart. "Will we all fit?" He asks.
