KYLE'S FIRST BASKETBALL GAME SUCKED IF HES COMPLETELY HONEST, IT WAS a dumpster fire. He did have fun, Javi made it more bearable. Javi always made everything more bearable.
INSIDE THE SCHOOL GYMNASIUM IS FILLED WITH CHEERS AND APPLAUSE, WHITEY calls, "Time out!"
Durham instructs the team, "We're running black for Nathan. If they double you, fight through them and take your shot when we have five seconds left. Let's go."
Tim says, "Ravens on three." Kyle and the team put their hands on each others in the middle of the circle, "One, two, three," Tim counts, "Ravens!" Everyone shouts.
The announcer explains, "So, a quick time out and the Ravens take to the court, their undefeated record at stake, 18 seconds left on the clock. They need a basket to tie, or a 3-pointer for the win. Jagielski to the inbound finds Guy Smith out top. We're under 10 seconds now. Smith dumps it down to Nathan Scott, and he's double teamed, but he forces up a 7-footer. It kicks off the heel of the rim. Jake Jagielski, though with an offensive rebound, with under 5 seconds on the clock, Jagielski out to Lucas Scott, he is behind the 3-point line. The Ravens are going to win or lose it right here." The Buzzer Sounds as the ball goes in. The crowd cheering and applaudes, "Unbelievable! Lucas Scott with the 3-pointer at the buzzer, and the Tree Hill Ravens are still undefeated! And I tell you what, if you're going to play the Ravens this season, you better take note, there is a new Scott in town!"
AFTER THE GAME, INSIDE THE SCHOOL GUM, LUCAS AND KYLE WALK OVER TO THEIR mom and Keith. "Nice game, Lucas, and Kyle."
"Thanks." Lucas high five Keith.
Kyle smiles and high fives Kieth, muttering a "thanks uncle Kieth." Kyle hugs his mom, and she returns the hug.
Keith tells both boys, "You rock."
"You were great." Karen tells Kyle as Lucas and Kieth talk.
Kyle smiles, "I tried."
Karen tells Lucas, "You were great."
"Thanks guys. See you soon, mom." Lucas walks away.
"We'll there goes my ride." Kyle jokes.
Karen tells both her boys, "Not too late."
Keith says, "You did good, boys." He turns to Karen, kyle smiles and nods joining Lucas. "You did pretty good, too."
Karen says, "I can breathe now." Kyle smiles hearing the relief in his mothers tone.
KYLE WALKS TO HIS AND LUCAS CAR, ONLY TO FIND A NAKED BROOKE AND LUCAS in the driver seat. Coach Whitey walking away. Kyle can't help but laugh at his brother, it would be his luck. One of the hottest girls in their grade throws themselves at him and he's cockblocked by their coach.
