We get to the hospital and Cam walks me in while Coop parks my truck. When we get to the check-in desk Sissy sees me as she comes out of a room and walks over to me.
"What is wrong Violet?" She said.
Coop walks in and up beside us and Sissy smiles. "Hey Coop."
"Hey, sissy! Hate we are back but this one isn't feeling well and her mom asked me to bring her back in." Coop said.
"Come on let's get you in a cubical," Sissy said as we followed behind her.
Once in the room, she kept looking at Cam. "This is my best friend." Coop said.
"When I first saw Violet I thought she had another boyfriend." Sissy laughed.
"He wishes." Coop laughed.
"Hey now come on." Cam laughed.
"Sissy this is Cam. He's here for a week he's been overseas he's in the Air force." I said.
"Oh, nice! Thank you for your service." Sissy smiled before checking my wound.
"Let's get your temp and probably draw some blood to rule some things out. Doctor Proctor will be in here in a few." She said.
We laughed and joked and I watched the guys talking to each other. "So what did y'all do this morning?" I asked.
"Coop took me to the bank so I could open up a savings account for when I get back. I don't spend much money while overseas." Cam said.
"Yeah, then we went got you flowers." Coop said.
"I don't know when I fell asleep," I said.
"I came to check on you when we got back but you were asleep. I left you alone until your mom came over with spaghetti." Coop said.
"Oooh, spaghetti I can't wait to eat that when we get home." I snort.
"Did you just snort?" Cam laughed.
"Yeah it's a habit and I'm well aware I'm a pig as criminals call me." I laugh.
The doctor walks in and says what sissy said that they would do blood work and then go from there and it wasn't long until a guy walked in to draw some blood.
My wound looks good so it can't be an infection. But I feel so bad. I close my eyes and relax listening to the guys talk.
Sissy walks back in with a paper to read. "So we know what's up with you Violet." She said.
"Is it my infection?" I ask.
"Do you mind Cam in the room or you want him to step out?" She said.
"No Cam is family he can stay," I said smiling at Cam.
"Well speaking of family yours is growing by one Violet because the reason for your sickness is your pregnant," Sissy said.
"Wait pregnant?" I said.
"Oh shit," Cam said.
Coop looked at me with his eyes big as a fifty-cent piece. "Oh, fudge."
"You need to see a doctor but according to your blood work your around eight weeks." She said.
"Wow, a baby. Can we do a sonogram so we can see?" I ask.
"I can arrange that for you guys. I'm assuming you want to do it while your here?" She asked.
"Yes please." I smile.
When sissy walked out of the room I looked over at Coop... "Well, I'm not surprised" I laughed.
"Yeah me either. That's what happens when Thor isn't wrapped." Coop laughed.
"What the fuck! Thor? Really Coop?" Cam laughs.
"What's yours name then?" Coop laughs.
"I'm not telling you guys." He laughed when Sissy walked back in with a machine.
"Alright let's check out this baby," Sissy said as she grabbed the gel and lifted up my shirt.
"Is that it?" I asked.
"That looks like a lima bean," Cam said.
"It's our lima bean." Coop laughed.
"That is your baby. Everything seems good. You need to get on prenatal vitamins right away. I'll give you some pictures and I'll schedule you an appointment with a baby doctor." She said.
"So any kind of vitamins?" Coop asked.
"I'll write it all down and I'll be back with your discharge papers." She said.
"Not a word you guys. I'm not sure when I want to tell anyone." I said.
"I won't tell," Cam said.
"I won't say a word either V.," Coop said getting up and kissing my forehead.
"Chief will put me on office duty and probably pair you up with someone else," I said with tears in my eyes.
"Don't worry about any of that V." Coop said.
"OMG, I don't cry what is wrong with me?" I ask him.
"That's hormones." Cam laughs.
Sissy comes back in with a paper on what to get and a schedule for me to see a baby doctor and discharges me.
"Let's go pick up vitamins." Coop said.
We got in the car and all three of us were quiet and trying to process that we were having a baby. A real live baby.
"You ok V?" Coop asks.
"Yeah, I think I am. I'm trying to process this that a living human is growing inside of me." I said.
"We should have been careful." Coop said.
"Do you not want this baby?" I ask.
"I'm not saying that. I'm saying we didn't use condoms enough." He said.
"Hey, guys I'm still back here." Cam laughed.
"Then learn from us. Wrap the willy and you won't knock anyone up." I laugh.
"Believe me he gets wrapped because I don't want no itches." Cam laughs.
"Don't be knocking up Sierrah." I turn and point at him.
"Geez I only kissed her once and I don't think that's how babies are made." He laughed.
Coop went into the store with the list to get the vitamins I need.
"So are you excited, Violet?" Cam asked.
"Once it all sinks in I'm sure I will be but right now I'm still in shock," I said.
"You guys will be great parents and that's going to be one good-looking kid." Cam laughed.
