As I'm walking up the aisle looking for the vitamins I realize I need to propose and soon but she will think it's because of the baby.
Maybe I should do it tonight. Take a blanket and make it romantic. I'll get Cam to help me.
I grab the vitamins and pay and walk back to the truck. V and Cam were laughing so that's a plus.
"I got what was on the list. You need to take them when we get home V." I said.
"I will for sure. Then I may need a little nap I'm tired." She yawned.
"What are we going to say when your parents ask?" I ask.
"Just tell them it was the stitches and maybe that's good enough." She said.
We get home and go inside and she takes the meds and goes upstairs to lay down.
I put the vitamins in a cabinet that was empty so no one would see them. I walked to the living room where Cam was.
"Listen I want to propose tonight. I want to do it on the beach with a blanket. Think you can help me with that?" I ask.
"Oh yeah and the ring." He whispered.
"I'll get that from you in a bit. But I'll let her nap and when the sun sets I will have her on the blanket." I said.
"Sounds like a plan I can get behind." Cam laughs.
I waited and waited for V to wake up and if I didn't wake her now and get her down to the beach we would miss the sunset.
Cam was down spreading the blanket for me so I went upstairs into our bedroom. "V.," I said.
She opened her eyes and looked at me and smiled. "Sorry I slept so long." She yawned.
"It's ok I just wanted you to come down to the beach and watch the sunset with me," I said.
"I can do that just let me go pee." She said.
I'm nervous as shit! I know she won't say no but I hope I can gather my thoughts enough to tell her how I feel.
She walks out smiling and walks over and hugs me. "I'm ready."
"Let's head out before the sun sets," I said grabbing her hand and walking out of the bedroom.
We get down to the kitchen and I ask if she wanted a jacket and she said no. So we head down all the steps to the beach where Cam is sitting on the blanket.
When he sees us he gets up and straightens the blanket out. "Just in time." He smiles.
I help her sit down and then I sit down beside her. I link my fingers in with hers. "I'm happy you came down here with me. How are you feeling?" I ask.
"I'm ok and I'm happy to be here with you as well Coop." She smiled over at me.
I look back and Cam is sitting on the bottom of the steps to the house watching which makes me even more nervous.
