I put the flowers in a vase with water and sit at the bar. I wanted to give Violet some time with her grandpa alone.

I pull out my phone and text the chief.

📱Any news chief?

📱I was about to call you but yes I got the name of her cellmate and it's Yvonne Meade.

📱Oh my god, Chief! She has to be kin to Andrew that's his last name.

📱Shit! I'm going to look into that Coop. I'll get back to you.

📱Thanks, Chief.

I laid my phone down. I wanted to tell V right away but should probably wait until Davis leaves.

I walk into the living room and sit beside V and smiled. She kept looking at me like just tell me.

After I walked Davis out I went back to the living room and sit down.

"Just tell me. I can see it on your face that you have something to tell me." She said.

"I do. The chief texted me a bit ago and they got the name of the cellmate. Her name is Yvonne Meade." I said.

"No fucking way Coop! That has to be Andrew's wife or sister or something like that. Did he have Courtney killed trying to get to me?" She asked.

"I'm not sure but I think we should do some digging and figure it out," I said.

"If not I'm going to the prison and speak to Andrew." She said.

Over the next hours, we did some searching when V came across an article from back in the day when Andrew's parents were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary and it names a couple of kids, and Andrew and Yvonne were named.

"Yup she's his sister. Coop I need to speak to him or her. I doubt she would rat her brother out but I need to speak to him." She said standing up pacing.

"Why do you want to talk to him v?" I ask.

"Because I want to thank him for having her took out. If he thought that could hurt me he was wrong." She said.

"I don't know if it's a good idea V. What if it stirs the pot and next time it's your dad or someone you do love?" I said.

"Your right I'm not thinking correctly Coop." She said sitting beside me.

"Listen they are going to get what's coming to them. One way or another they will brag and tell someone." I said.

"That's true. I mean if she did something and got stabbed that's one thing but if she got stabbed because of us arresting Andrew then that's something else." She said.

"Chief is looking into it and if nothing else Yvonne will get more time and well Andrew could too if he called the hit," I said.

Sierrah stepped into the living room and I about jumped out of my skin. "Holy shit I forgot you were here." I laughed.

"I slept in late because you two make too much noise." She laughed.

"We have been for a jog and went made funeral arrangements as well," V said.

"Are you having a service?" Sierrah asked.

"No just cremation and burial but I'm not going," V said.

"Ohh Violet are you sure?" Sierrah asked.

"I'm sure so please let it go ok?" V said rubbing her face in her hands.

The doorbell goes off and I get up and go to the door and open it and see Avah and Remi holding containers.

"Hey, guys! Come in! The girls are in the living room." I said.

"Hey, Cooper." They both said sitting the containers down on the counter and walking to the living room and then they all appeared in the kitchen.

"We fixed a little bit of everything and wanted you guys to have food. I didn't know my daughter was here though," Remi said.

"I stayed over last night waiting on them to come back from the police matter and it was late so I stayed plus that yellow room is mine." Sierrah laughed.

"Glad you have moved in Sierrah." Remi laughed.

They take the lids off of all the containers and damn so much food and I was actually hungry.

We all made our plates and went to the dining room table. Avah and Remi didn't want to ask but you could tell they wanted to know.

"So V and I went to the funeral home this morning," I said.

"We wanted to ask but wasn't sure you wanted to talk," Avah said.

"I wanted to see her to make sure she was dead and I had her cremated and buried somewhere because I don't want those ashes," V said.

"I understand sweet pea," Avah said.

"I feel fine. It's not like she was a real mother to me anyway." V said.

"I'm happy to be your mom." Avah smiled and winked at Violet.

"I know mom and I'm thankful for you." V smiled.

"I'm thankful for this whole family for accepting me in. I mean now that V is my girlfriend you can't get rid of me." I smirked.

Sierrah screamed! "Girlfriend? Violet, you didn't tell me!"

"It only happened a couple of days ago Sierrah," V said.

I leaned over and kissed her cheek and squeezed her leg before I continued to eat.

"And last night I professed my love to her." I smiled at V.

"And I did the same." She smiled.

"Well we all saw it coming and Gray wanted to place bets." Remi laughed.

"Uncle Gray did what?" V laughs.

"As Davis said it's the Reece charm," I said.

"Grandpa brought me those flowers today too," V said.

"Wow, he did? That was nice." Avah said.

"We went over had dinner with him and Diane the other day and then he came here today as soon as he heard," I said.

"I was shocked when Sierrah told me you guys had been hanging out with him. You know how he is." Remi said.

"I know but grandpa really likes Coop and he's really grieving over grandma Alice too. It's been nice hanging out with him." V smiled.

"Yeah, I've enjoyed it too," I said taking a drink of my lemonade.
