Damn it! What is wrong with me I was so close to ruining everything I have with Riley, and for what? To feel her lips on mine, to know what she tastes like. It's selfish of me, she is going through a hard time and what do I do I am almost kiss her.
Fucking dumbass!
As much as I wanted to I breathe a sigh of relief as we get interrupted by the door bell.
"I'll get it."
Riley jumps back from the pull we were in. Her eyes wide as saucers for a moment and I have to supress a chuckle. She is just too damn cute.
"Fuck!"
She turns around and gives me a slight frown.
"Blake is everything okay?"
No not at all!
I'm about to answer but the doorbell rings again. She opens the door and I look at the time.
Who the hell would be coming around this late?
I walk up to her and see a petite girl around our age. She has brown hair that is shoulder length and brown eyes. She is cute but nothing compared to Riley.
"I'm sorry to bother you but I'm lost and my phone died. I just need directions to Calhourn Rd. I'm new around here and trying to learn my way around, and of course I got lost." She giggles and I smile, I see her blush while staring at me. If I wasn't such a goner with a fiery red head next to me, I'd probably flirt with her or something. Riley looks between us and rolls her eyes.
"Just go down to the end of the street and make a right... then you will go about four blocks, and you will see Calhourn Rd." Riley says with a sweet voice.
"Thanks, that's awesome!" She hugs Ry. She gives me a panic look, my girl, she is not use to outsiders being like this. I'm about to step in when the girl starts to pull away.
"Ow! My hair."
The girl's hand is stuck in Riley's hair.
"Shit I'm sorry my bracelet must be stuck."
She untangles herself from Ry's hair. "Thanks again and sorry about that."
Riley rubs her head but puts on a weak smile. "It's no problem and don't worry about it."
She is about to leave when she turns around and looks at me. "Bye handsome." She winks at me and sprints to her car. Riley shuts the door and glares at me. I walk back to the couch chuckling.
"What?" I say trying to hide the amusement in my voice
"By handsome." She says in a mocking tone and winks at me.
I start laughing. I clutch my stomach because I am laughing so hard. I look up and see her glaring at me. I stand up to look at her and step towards her.
"I think someone is jealous."
She huffs and steps back. "Why would I be jealous?"
I move towards her again. I'm finding this pretty entertaining. "I don't know you tell me"
"Shut up!" Then she throws a pillow at me. I stagger back and look at her and she is trying to hold back her laughter.
"Oh you are in so much trouble wildfire." She stops and looks at me wide eyed knowing she is in trouble. She jumps off the couch and takes off laughing. I love her laugh it brings a smile to my face
"You have to catch me first Blake Mackenzie."
"You bet you're sweet ass I will."
Shit did I just say that out loud?
