Chapter 37 - Riley

I can't believe he bought us a house. This man surprises me more and more each day. I gasp when I turn around and see Blake down on one knee.

"Marry me Riley Ann Jacobs. I don't know any better way to say it. I love you, I have loved you for so damn long, and I am beyond happy we got this second chance. I promise to do everything in my power to make you and our child, and future children be happy for the rest of our lives. We don't have to get married right away, but I just want you to know your my forever."

I just stare at him and can't believe this is happening. I have thought about Blake since I was fourteen years old. What started out as a silly crush became so much more.

"Riley I promise we will get married when the time is..."

"Your rambling Blake."

He rubs the back of his neck and looks up at me. The poor guy is still on one knee.

"You're making me nervous Ry."

I can't help but giggle. "Get up Blake." He slowly gets up and I take his hand that has the ring and stare at it. I can't believe we are going to do this. "You know the effect you have on me Blake."

"I need to hear you say it love."

He caresses my cheek as I take the  ring and out in on my finger. "Yes I'll marry you Blake. I'd be crazy not to."

He picks me up and swings me around. I can't help but laugh as I pepper kisses all over his face.

It's been three weeks since I got engaged and now we finally get to hear the baby's heartbeat. I'm nervous and excited at the same time. I just finished my last class for the day when I run into Lendze and Sam.

"You are so lucky you have short days. Tell me again why we decided college would be a great thing." Lendze leans her head on my shoulder. Always the dramatic one, but I wouldn't change her for anyone.

"The days just drag on." Of course Sam goes straight to rubbing my belly not that I am showing some.

"Well I took extra courses last year. So this year should be a breeze for me."

Both girls stick their tongues out at me. "Smart ass." Lendze pouts and Sam whines about not being able to go with us.

"Blake is going to record everything so don't worry."

Lendze reminds me about moving day tomorrow. I hug them goodbye and head over to the fire hall. Once I get out of the car Scott spots me and whistles.

"Hot damn! Who is that fine looking woman over there?"

All the men turn around except for Blake. I just wait to see if he does but he doesn't. That makes my heart melt even more for him. I see the mischievous look on the boys faces. They are going to mess with Blake. I bite my lip to hold back a giggle.

"Blake you need to see this girl, she is beautiful." Scott is struggling to keep from laughing.

"Nah man just tell me when Ry gets here."

This man is a fucking keeper.

Chase slaps Blake on the shoulder. "Seriously bro, you need to turn around and look at this fine piece of ass."

"Blake looks at Chase and I can see the anger building. Chase you dumb ass. "What the fuck Chase? You realize you are dating my sister asshole!"

He turns around and sees me, his face instantly lights up. Before he comes to me punches both Chase and Scott in the arm.

Chase runs his arm, "ow! I knew you would turn around if I said something."

"You're lucky you didn't get punched in the dick then you wouldn't be able to use it again."
