little: hendery
caregiver: johnny

"alright guys. that's a wrap. great job today. make sure to get lots of rest."

the boys began thanking the staff as they made their way to the cars.

johnny was getting into one of the many cars when hendery grabbed his arm gently. the older looked behind him, a bit shocked because hendery was not one to be clingy.

"um...what's up?" he asked.

hendery looked down at the ground and spoke softly.

"can i go with you..?"

he was trying so hard to stay out of his headspace but the thoughts of going home and cuddling up with his blankie and bear were flooding his mind.

"yeah..is everything okay?" the older asked.

johnny was starting to worry about hendery. he's never seen him act like this before. he was pretty sure he knew what was going on though.

hendery got into the car with him, the other boys being confused but not questioning anything.

the car ride was quiet and pretty awkward for hendery. despite his attempts to not slip, it didn't work and he was now very deep in his headspace.

needless to say, he wanted to cry. he was so embarrassed. he just wanted to curl up into a ball and cry. tears were pooling in his eyes as he looked out the window, trying to avoid eye contact with everyone in the car.

johnny of course noticed this but decided he would wait to ask the younger about it to avoid him being embarrassed about it.

when they arrived to the dorms, hendery was the last one out of the car and toddled behind johnny who was walking slower than usual to keep the same pace as the little.

when just the two of them were still outside, johnny turned to face the younger.

"are you okay dery?" the older was concerned. he could tell that hendery was a little but he didn't want to upset him by asking.

the little just nodded, johnny not believing it at all.

"you look upset. what's going on?" he asked gently.

poor hendery just broke down. he had such a long day and he was just so exhausted and overwhelmed. he broke into tears and put himself in johnnys arms, not caring if anyone else saw him like this. he just wanted to be comforted.

johnny smiled softly at the boy and held him close to his chest. he began rubbing the littles back in slow circles to help calm him down.

"dery, are you a little?"

hendery looked up at the older and nodded sadly.

"i-i sowwy..dery j-jus wan cuddwes.." he said as more tears fell from his eyes.

johnnys expression changed and he pulled the boy into a hug.

"it's okay don't worry. do you have a caregiver?" he asked.

the little shook his head.

"w-wan you...you be derys caregivew?" he tilted his head to the side.

johnny smiled and placed a small kiss on henderys forehead.

"i would love to be your caregiver." he smiled at the little who giggled quietly.

"wha 'bout bwankie a-and bear?" the boy asked. he was very concerned about his bear and blanket being all alone in his room.

johnny couldn't help but coo at the boy standing in front of him.

"i'll call kunnie and have him bring them over." he said.

the two went inside and went to johnnys room, the younger plopping himself down on johnnys bed while he called kun.

a few minutes passed and johnny put his phone. away and pulled the little into his arms.

"okay baby. kunnie is gonna bring your stuff and then we can lay down and i'll give you cuddles. alright?" he smiled down at the boy in his arms who nodded happily.

when kun arrived at the dorm, he took henderys stuff to him and left again.

"wook! dis is bear a-and dis bwankie!" hendery said very, very loudly.

the older smiled and nodded, placing kisses all over the boys face.

"noo! no kissies! dery wan cuddwes!"

the two of them got cuddled up under the covers, hendery holding onto his bear in one hand and his blanket in the other.

he was so happy to finally have a caregiver. someone to play with and someone to rely on. he couldn't be any happier.
