caregiver: lucas
"sweetheart why are you up? i just checked on you and you were asleep?" lucas asked a little xiaojun who was waddling towards where he was on the couch.
"jus wanna cuddle wif dada...pwease?"
xiaojuns eyes started watering as he made grabby hands towards his caregiver.
lucas' expression changed as he lifted the boy into his arms and wrapped him up with a fluffy blanket. he quickly calmed him and smiled down at the now sleeping little against his chest.
it was quiet for about fifteen minutes when lucas heard bella's paws echoing from down the hall. he looked at the small dog, eyes widening when she started to bark.
"bella shh! stop barking!" he whisper-yelled to the dog.
unfortunately bella ended up waking xiaojun back up, the small boy starting to cry. whenever he was little and sleepy, he got emotional really easily. his small hands held onto lucas' shirt as the older male rubbed the baby's back gently to soothe him.
"shh. you're okay baby. it was just the doggy."
xiaojun calmed down again and looked up at his caregiver with innocent eyes. he giggled softly as he put his favorite moose stuffie down in his lap. he lifted his hand up to lucas' to compare the sizes. his hand was obviously much smaller, the little smiling and playing with the older males fingers.
lucas swore the little couldn't get any cuter until he picked his moose up and started playing with its antlers. he got bored rather quickly and turned so he could cuddle into lucas' chest again.
"sleepy time...dada go sleep wif junnie."
the two fell asleep on the couch, lucas holding his baby in his arms. he never wanted to lose xiaojun. he was his everything.
