Miyoung stood in front of her mirror, adjusting the ribbon around the neckline of her white shirt. She took a deep breath and looked at her reflection. She was wearing the uniform of Saebom high, a white shirt underneath a sleeveless sweater that was tucked into a grey skirt. She was also wearing high black socks. A scarlet blazer came with it, but Miyoung wasn't feeling like earing it. She was already burning hot because of nervousness, the blazer would just make it worse. She had always been nervous for firsts day at school. But now it was worse. After what happened almost a year ago, she was anxious to come back. To see them.

The previous week passed as fast as the speed of light. Manager Hwang had called the representative of IOPE, bought a quite expensive looking apartment to Miyoung in a secured neighbourhood, and bought two tickets to Seoul as Mrs Gim enrolled her daughter back to Saebom high and helped her pack. When everything was all done, the week had passed and Miyoung had to leave. It was hard to part ways with her mother, but it was necessary. It would be the time to Miyoung to fly with her own wings.

Miyoung sighed, turned around grabbing her royal blue leather backpack and her keys, and left her room. She crossed the minimalist but elegant living room to the vestibule where she put on her shoes. Then, she left.

Miyoung decided not to take the bus to go to school. Manager Hwang told her she could drop her by (she was living in the apartment above), but Miyoung wanted to see the way on foot. Besides, if she wanted to go back to school, it was to regain a little of a normal life. She was always modelling, posing, smiling to people. She liked being a model, don't get her wrong, but she was alone. Apart from her mother and her manager, she had no one, she had no friend. She was blank, empty.

As she was walking, she felt her phone vibrating. She took and smiled at the ID.

"Mom, you should be sleeping by now," Miyoung playfully scolded.

"Hey, I wanted to cheer up my daughter for her first day of school!" Mrs Gim said. "I feel like you are three again on your very first day of school. Gosh, times had passed so fast."

"Mom, I'm not a baby anymore," Miyoung giggled.

"I know, I know," Mrs Gim said. Miyoung could hear her smile. "Miyoung-ah, don't stress too much, okay? It will be alright. Don't forget to eat well. If something happened, call me. And look at both side of the road before crossing the streets. Study well and don't do blindly what people tell you to do. Don't talk to strangers either. Did you close the door before leaving?"

"Yes, mom, yes I know all of that." Miyoung smiled. "Well, you should sleep now, okay? I'll go or I'll be late."

"Be careful, Mimi," Mrs Gim said.

"I will. I love you, mom," Miyoung smiled.

"I left early but I managed to be late, gosh!" Miyoung complained as she ran toward the gate of Saebom high.
