Wake up, wake up, wake up… I heard the ascending tone in my alarm clock that talked... cool huh? Argh but now I had to get up. I remembered the day as Monday and I hated Mondays. I didn’t even do anything productive during my weekend which sucked even more. I was not in the mood in doing anything after that stupid Saturday night. So my Sunday was spent by me sleeping, eating, watching some movies then sleeping again.

I got up half-sleeping then went to the bathroom. I did my routine then went down stairs. I saw Aunt Sally preparing our breakfast but Nikki wasn’t there anymore. “Where’s Nik?” I asked her. She turned her head to face me.

“She went to school early.” she answered.

“She’s really busy lately.”

“Yeah. You should eat your breakfast Emily.”

I ate my breakfast then went to school alone. School was not far from home so I just walked in going there. I usually did it with Nikki but she’d been really busy these few months, well since we were seniors now and that she was part of the committee. I wondered why I was not that busy. Well I was not really interested at anything so that was probably the reason.

When I entered the school premises, a thought suddenly occured to me. It was going to be my last year staying in there. What would I become after high school? How would I live by myself? Was I still going to college? Who knew? I thought that without grandpa I would be nothing. Just like what Jake once said, I was just living pathetically behind grandfather’s shadows. I’d never really proved myself. I was just a nobody if not for my grandpa’s name.

After some more thoughts, I walked inside the building. I went straight to the elevator then pressed the fourth floor. That was where the seniors stay. When the elevator opened in the fourth floor, I saw the seniors waiting in front of it. I was confused as to why they were standing in there. It seemed like they were waiting for something to happen. I slowly stepped outside of the elevator. But when I was finally out something, really sticky was poured into me.

Crap! It was a green liquid and who knew what it was called. It was really disgusting. I felt really filthy. Then someone started throwing tomato into me. I also saw eggs thrown at me. What the hell was their problem? I covered my face by my hands because I wanted to protect them from the flying tomatoes and eggs and who knew what else they were throwing. I wanted to ask them why they were doing it but it didn’t seem like they wanted to talk. Bitches! After some minutes, the bell rang and they finally stopped. They started going their own classes and I was there standing looking so filthy. I was sorting out things, reasons, as to why they started to shit me. I didn’t remember doing anything wrong to anybody. But they just started to gang up on me. I wanted to cry. Hell that was the first time a thing like that happened to me.

But after some time of thinking, I managed to get out of there without bursting into tears. I wasn’t really sure of how I did that. I went to my locker and looked for some spare clothes. Thank god I put some in there. I went to the shower room and cleaned myself up. I went out in there feeling fresher and then I went back to my locker. The lockers were arranged side by side in a huge room like how the books are arranged in the library. I scanned the place and tried to spot some people but I didn’t find any so I decided to get out in there. But before I was totally out, I heard some girls coming. They were at the other side so I hid behind my locker. They were taking something out of their own lockers. They were also chatting like what normal girls did. I didn’t usually listen to someone else's conversation but there were just times when I get a little sly like that one time I eavesdropped on the biggest jerk in the planet. When I heard them mention my name, I got even more curious and wanted to listen to their conversation.
