Third Person POV
“Even at my party Rob?” Jake sure sounded disappointed.
Rob couldn’t believe Jake’s reaction. “What? She pushed me in the fountain. How can you blame me?”
“She wouldn’t do that if you didn’t do anything to her.” Jake took his suit to his arms.
“And you’re acting like you know her.” Rob said while Jake started to feel uncomfortable. “Look, I only came to her because I wanted to take my key chain back.”
“Key chain? Why would she have your key chain?” Jake asked.
Rob felt constrained. He didn’t want anyone to know he forced himself into a girl because that never happened to him, not once in his life. He always got what he wanted but a girl surprisingly refused him though she confessed to him. He thought she was playing hard to get. But he had to say something. “She confessed to me, that girl confessed to me in the study room.” He declared.
Everyone was surprised but not as astonished as Jake. “S-she confessed to you?”
“Yeah and…” Rob searched for the right words. “And she just took my key chain.” But Jake didn’t want to believe him. “I didn’t know the girl is a masochist. She likes me after what I’ve done to her.” But sure enough, Rob did not forget the head butt he received from her.
Nate and Vaughn approached them. They wanted to know what was the commotion all about. But the two were giggling. They just didn’t want to laugh at Rob’s face in front of everybody.
“You…” Nate started, chuckling along with Vaughn. “If you wanted a pool party you should’ve said so. Jake wouldn’t mind that, right Jake?”
Rob got pissed. He was just so embarrassed. Being soaked wet in front of the whole school population was just so humiliating, not to mention he had a reputation. He stormed out of the place. Jake did not stop him. He was still there standing and was left astounded. The two bid Jake goodbye and followed Rob. Though the four weren’t really actively participating in the party anymore, the other students still continued it. They didn’t seem to care much about the incident anymore. They forgot about it like a bubble that popped.
End of Third Person POV
“Emily, I’ve been waiting for you downstairs so we could go to school together.” Nikki snuck into my room on an early Monday morning.
“Go on.” I told her under my pillow. “I won’t be going to school today.”
“Why?” She asked me worried.
“I just don’t feel like going to school.” I told her finally getting the pillow out of my face. “Go to school now.”
“Give me a valid reason first.” She ordered.
“Because Mondays suck.” I thought that was valid enough.
“You wont go to school because Mondays suck? Well... Get up!” She grabbed my hands and pulled me inside the bathroom. She forced me to go to my tub and turned the shower on. Of course, I’d be wet.
“Damn it! Nikki!” I shouted.
She went out of the room and yelled, “I’ll be waiting downstairs for you. Hurry up so we won’t be late.”
I didn’t have any other choice. I did what she told me and we went to school together. I was just so worried I didn’t know how to face the people after the humiliating scene I created last Saturday at Jake's place. At least Jake assured me that he was not angry at me. He called me yesterday and asked if I was okay and I said yes. Good thing he didn’t come to my house. I wouldn’t have known how to face him.
