Vaughn did wonder what Nikki meant by what she said. “What do you mean?”

Nikki turned to look at the fine young lad beside her. He was blonde and the moon seemed to give him a silver short hair. His dark blue eyes were glowing under the moon’s shine. She thought, he was beautiful. But she could only think it, and nothing else more than it. “Nothing.” She spoke as though she decided she would close the topic.

“No, I do think there’s something else to what you've said Ms. Simm. You got to tell me, because I would definitely not stop until I get what I want.” Vaughn declared. To Nikki, he looked really determined to know.

She thought twice but ended up with, “Alright, but you got to promise to not to tell anybody.”

“Speak up.” Vaughn said as if to agree to what Nikki asked him.

“I’ve met Jake Martin on the start of highschool. He started hanging out with Emily and I since then. And I learned that Emily and Jake already knew each other since they were 8. Emily kind of like Jake.” Nikki revealed. She was kind of thinking twice if she’d done the right thing. She couldnt really tell. But anyway, what’s done is done. Vaughn already knew the real relationship of Emily and Jake.

Vaughn who was just astounded stood in front of Nikki. Jake and Emily? He remembered about Jake going back to his old country for someone. Jake once confessed to them it was for a girl he met when he was 8. Could it be Emily? The Emily who will be marrying Rob? The Emily who is now kidnapped with the two of them with her?

“This is ridiculous…” Vaughn could only say.

“I know, but Rob doesn’t even like Emily. Rob only hurts Emily and he couldn’t make her happy. I want her and Jake to end up together. At least Jake loves Emily” Nikki added.

Vaughn couldn't get anymore surprised. “Does Emily love Jake?”

“I was sure she did. But I feel like she still likes him now.” Nikki answered. But Vaughn wasn’t actually listening anymore, he was staring somewhere below Nikki’s face. And she looked just surprised. “Are you staring at my chest?”

Vaughn looked at Nikki and he saw a blushing face he didn’t realize why. “Uhm…” Until he finally recalled what had Nikki asked earlier. “Oh no, you got it all wrong. I was just looking at the thing that’s glowing red… on your chest.”

Nikki knew what he was talking about, she took it out to let Vaughn see and forgot how she thought Vaughn was actually looking at her chest. She showed him a padlock like pendant that was glowing red in the middle. “Oh this, yeah this. I saw it in the mall and I bought this for Emily and me. I gave her the pair of this, there was actually something with this, something like a pad device when I bought it but I didn’t know what it was for.”

“I’m guessing that that’s a tracking device.” Vaughn told her.

I woke in the morning light feeling the swelling arm on my right. I hated Rob for breaking my arm last night. But when I saw his peaceful face beside me in the bed, I couldn’t help but stare at it. He looked so beautiful when he’s not moving. And then he started moaning. I wonder what he’s dreaming. He started opening his eyes, and he caught me staring at him.

Rob looked at my face, and it was kinda surprising that I did not look away. He moved his gaze lower and stop right on track. He rose and stared at my bruising arm. “Emily, are you okay?”

I rolled my eyes to him. I didn’t want to talk to him. I got up from the bed and when I was about to stand, Rob grabbed my other shoulder. “What? You’re going to break my other arm because I’m not answering you now?!”
