POV: Jake
Me and Morgan are watching telly when there's a knock at my door. We both look towards each other with a confused glance. I turn the volume of the tv down and stand up quietly. I walk slowly into my room and grab a hoodie and put it in before walking even slower towards the door. They knock again as I manage to get my eye into the peephole to see who it is. "IT'S PHOENIX!" I shout as I fumble to open the door. I'm greeted with a huge hug from Phoenix and Morgan hurries over and joins in.Morgan lets go before I do and I keep ahold of Phoenix and slowly walk us into the apartment. Morgan shuts the door for us and returns to the sofa, resuming the show on Netflix we were both watching together. "Surprise!" He whispers to me as I look up at him. I give him a quick kiss before Morgan has the chance to start fake gagging at us in the way that they always do. We're too adorable apparently. "Are you just not going to let me go now?" He says as he hugs me tighter. I shake my head no and he lets out a laugh. "Can you two get a room? I'm just trying to watch a show over here and you're distracting me with the whole love business. Don't remind me of my own downfall please," Morgan says. "What about the guy from the train?" Phoenix asks as he moves us to the sofa. "I'm too scared to text him first," They say shyly as I pout at Phoenix for letting go of me. He looks softly at me and sits down next to Morgan, leaving me stood staring at them both. "Why? It seems like you really got talking in the trip down here. You can always call him if it's the texting you're unsure of?" He replies. I decide to go make us all drinks seeing as Phoenix is now helping Morgan, I'm a little jealous but there's plenty of time to catch up with him. Morgan needs his expertise.
"Just text him hello," I offer as I hand them both cups of tea. "I suppose so, I'm just nervous!" They admit shyly. "And that's valid, but how are you ever going to meet anyone if you don't speak to them?" Phoenix adds as I sit down in the corner of the sofa away from the two of them. "Okay, I'll do it. He seemed nice enough on the train," They reply. Phoenix looks over at me and pats the spot next to him. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to be right next to him but I'm still a little salty he let go first so I shake my head and try to hold back a smile which fails miserably. He scoots over and takes the tea out of my hand and puts it on the coffee table next to his and Morgan's and then throws himself at me. "The text has been sent!" Morgan says nervously. "The waiting begins," I reply as I smile at them.
"He's replied, oh my god that was fast. What do I do?!?" They say in a panic after five minutes of us sitting quietly watching tv. "Maybe reply?"
Phoenix responds sarcastically. "Thanks for the help," Morgan replies as they lightly hit Phoenix for being a douche. "My poor baby!" I say as I shower his head in kisses and he fake whimpers. I am such a simp for him and I love it. "Normal people conversation is happening. OH GOD HE WANTS TO CALL!" Morgan shouts from out of nowhere. "It could be worse, he could want to FaceTime. No one needs to see you in your pyjamas," I joke. Morgan gives me a death stare but is interrupted by their phone ringing. "You two, out." They says pointing to my bedroom. "We can do one better," Phoenix winks as he jumps off the sofa and pulls me along with him. He quietly shuts the door behind us just as Morgan picks up the phone.I'm only just processing what is happening before he's pulling me into his flat and I'm engulfed with a sense of familiarity and warmth. "Did you miss me?" He teases as he picks me up and sits me on the kitchen worktop. "No, there's no reason for me to miss you?" I tease back. "Are you sure you didn't miss me?" He replies as he brings his lips in front of mine and keeps them there. Are we just going to pretend I didn't miss him for much longer? "So sure," I smile as I pull away from him. I see him smile and tilt his head away from me shyly. "Maybe a little," I reply as I place both hands on the side of his face and return it to me. I can see him looking between my eyes and my lips hesitantly. I close the small amount of distance between the two of us and we slowly kiss each other. Our kisses becomes more desperate and our shirts are flung across the room, he finally picks me up and walks us to his room as we both try and catch our breath.
"You stink," I say as I get up and open his bedroom window a little. "And you look beautiful too," He replies. "Anyone ever told you that you're beautiful?" He asks as I lay back down beside him and snuggle into him. "Not unless you count my mum, but I don't want to think about her now after what we did earlier." I reply laughing slightly. "Ah, well. Point taken," He chuckles all adorably. "Damn, Fifi you've gone head over heels." I say quietly as I kiss him. "I think I gone head over heels too," I add after another kiss.
"How did it go?" I hear Phoenix ask as he lets Morgan into his apartment. I'm still cosy in bed and have no intention of moving from here unless food is involved. "Really good!" They reply and I can hear the smile on their face as they begin to explain the conversation. "He is back home but wants to meet when I'm back and I suggested we go to the pub in the village, which is a little bit of a trek for him but he said he's more then happy to travel for me. I hate to admit it but you guys were right, there was no need for me to be worried about talking to him." There's a brief pause and I shout "Told you so!" This then provokes the two of them to come running in here and in unison jump onto me. "Don't be mean to Moo, they don't know as much as you do when it comes to dating."
"Excuse me?! Who said I knew anything about dating? I barely speak to people let alone date them!" I point out defensively as I sit up in bed. "I guess so, but you still have a man and I do not," Morgan points out. "He only got me because I didn't give him a chance to get away," Phoenix says as he lays his head in my lap. "You two need to stop, and Jake can you put a shirt on? Do you even have any clothes on? OH GOD!" They shriek as they jump back off of me.
