The rest of the day passed by in tension, since the both of us were extremely anxious to know that we'll both be becoming death eaters the very next day. But how on earth did Potter know about this? I mean, he found out about it way before I did! The day ended with a little talk with Narcissa and Draco and I in our room, informing us about everything we had to know and how to behave in front of the Dark Lord. She hardly spoke of him affectionately like how Bellatrix did. Bellatrix spoke of the Dark Lord like he was her husband. I guess it was passionate for her since she is a very loyal follower and probably would sacrifice her own life for the Dark Lord. Nevertheless, I paid much attention when Narcissa spoke to us, taking note of how not to speak when spoken to and call the Dark Lord 'my Lord'. I had trouble falling alseep that night, but gazing out at the stars seemed to make things much better. Eventually I wake up when it was still dark, since it was the wee hours of the morning when someone shook me up.
"Rachel! Draco! Wake up!", my eyes snap open and I see Narcissa standing right beside my nightstand, her face barely visible in the dim moonlight that shone through the window.
"Narcissa, what is it?" I look closely at her to see that she was already dressed in her gown and her hair was done up neatly.
"Mother?" Draco yawned and sat up on the bed. "What is it?" he asked groggily, cracking his knuckles and squinting at his mother.
"Wash up and get dressed! It's in two hours!" she whisper-shouted at the both of us and used her wand to turn on the lights with a wave. My eyes pop open. It's in two hours? In the wee hours of the morning?! Hell no, I'm not ready for this. I just woke up and I'll be seeing You-Know-Who in 120 minutes?! "Move along now, you two!" she rushes us and I hop off the bed immediately and search for a suitable dress.
Seeing me search around for a dress, Narciss comes forward to me and hands me a small package. "Here," she hands it to me and I rip it open. In it sat a black dress with crystal beading. I take it out of the box and it had two long sleeves and the dress flowed down to just above my ankles. "It was mine, I thought you should have it."
"Wow, it's beautiful. Thank you so much, Narcissa," I thank her, hugging Narcissa.
"You're welcome. Now go put it on," she hurries me off to the bathroom.
I take off my shirt and pants and put on the delicately sewn dress. It must've cost her a fortune! I put the dress on and it fit me perfectly. I look at myself in the mirror and step out of the room. Narcissa was seated on the couch by the window and Draco had his black tuxedo in his hands, waiting for me to exit the bathroom so that he could change. Seeing me in the dress, he gasps and smirks at me.
"You look beautiful," he compliments me as he kisses my cheeks and the proceeds into the bathroom to change.
"He's right, I was just making sure it fits. I'll be going now," Narcissa waves goodbye to me before taking off out of the room and closing it behind her.
I whip out my makeup bag and brush my hair such that it was neat enough and I braid my hair down my shoulder. Then, I add some grey eye shadow and put on some mascara. I check myself in the mirror then go over to the box where Narcissa left a pair of black heels. It had rhinestones on the straps and it looked very glam and classic. I put them on and they fit perfectly. Just when I was done putting on the shoes, Draco walks out of the bathroom in his black tux, his hair gelled back, showing off his grey eyes. He looked at me and smiled.
"You're gorgeous, Rachel," he walked over to me and kissed me on my lips.
"You're extremely dashing," I pull teasingly on perfectly tied tie and he gives me his charming smile I always loved. "Let's go," I take his hand and pull him behind me. I open the door and the cold air that hit me made me shiver.
