A/N: Hey everyone! Here's one of the final chapters. I was really upset while writing this because I don't want to stop writing this fanfiction. It was amazing thinking of events and how everything will work out. Your comments have made my day so thank you for that. I've already decided on an ending and hopefully you'll like it :) Please keep reading and voting! Thank you. x

A rumbling sound rang in my ears. It was rhythmic, pulsed and firm, each pulse loud and low. Almost like a giant, cement heart beating. I look up and my eyes see statues, walking stiffly and in unison to all entrances of Hogwarts. Thousands of these cement soldiers rounded up the boundaries, each with a different stone weapon in hand. I gripped Draco's hand tighter as he did the same to me. My eyes widen in astonishment when I see streams of silver light that rivered up and formed a silvery, silky dome around the entire school that cleared when it sealed against the ground. Hogwarts is fighting back, I thought. Fighting back for the sake of their students. Hermione's face appears in my mind in flashes, my mother's voice rang in my ears that day I overheard her at the Burrow.

"Is the Potter boy there?" Bellatrix asked, her tone high and shrill.

"Yes, he is. Rachel and Draco, do you mind entering the grounds and checking? The both of you shall return if you find anything," the Dark Lord asks us.

We apparate into the courtyard. The charm must have been lifted. Students were running about in panic. No one seemed to take notice of the two death eaters in their midst as they shove past one another, shoulders knocking into mine and their feet in a flurry. Draco's hands still linked with mine, we enter a corridor with few students. We had time to catch a breather.

"We have to split up," I said. "We can find Potter faster."

Just when I was about to run back into the human tangle, Draco's strong hands pull my arm back. "No. We might as well return in five minutes so the school is not attacked. You want to save your cousin, don't you?" That idea grew in my mind for a few seconds.

"But if he finds out, we're dead. Instantly. It won't be good if we change the plans. Potter, Weasley and Hermione know there's going to be something going on at Hogwarts. They've already planned their actions. It would only do them bad if we change it," I look into his eyes of molten silver and finally understanding, he releases his grip on my arm.

I didn't hear Draco follow behind me so I guess he did a detour instead. Worry flooded my mind. I wanted so badly to follow after him and just cling to him but Potter's soul was the most important thing right now. We both knew the things the Dark Lord would do if Potter was dead. Devastation, loss of lives... Who know what else? My legs force themselves up the stairs, keeping pace with the other students. No one notices my presence, thankfully until I notice someone else's.

"Here, take this," said a familiar voice. My head turns to face the direction from which the voice came from; Harry Potter.

True enough, Hermione was right in front of her with Ron. I stop in my tracks, I should go and talk to her. Do something, I told myself. But talking to her could render attention and well, Potter might stun me and I'll probably never see Hermione's face again. But Draco's voice sounded in my mind. But there may come a day where you get the chance to make everything right again. When that day comes, take that chance. Hermione notices me a split-second after I glanced at her. "Rachel," she mouthed before she rushed towards me, her arms enclosing my body. I wrap my arms tightly around her.

"Hermione, Hermione," I whispered into her ears. "I missed you. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."

"I should be the one saying sorry," she said again, pulling me away gently from her. "I should have had more faith in you. I'm sorry."
