Nevertheless, Draco and I have become inseparable. Everyone in the school now knew who we were and that we were a couple. Sure, there were girls who still wanted to be with Draco, but Draco would turn them down. Esme and Blaise were closer than ever, spending much more time together in public now that their dating secret was out. Professor Snape has been giving Draco and I extra lessons on legilimens and occlumency. He even taught us how to duel using very advanced spells even witches and wizards of his age couldn't master. Being me, I was able to pick up these spells rather quick with the snap of my finger, since I did have a thing for spells. Draco took a longer time getting them right but they worked for him either way.

Both of us have become much closer to Professor Snape as a result and he'd sometimes bail us out if we needed it. Obviously, Potter, Weasel and Granger have realised this ever since the year started.

Today was a casual day and I was proceeding to lunch with Draco walking beside me as always when Granger bumps into me. She falls on the ground from the impact, letting out a soft scream.

"Watch it, mudblood," I glare at her before walking off to the Great Hall.

"No apology?" she shouts after me, shoving off her two friends who tried helping her up.

I was about to go yelling at her when Draco squeezes my hand, shaking his head to tell me not to pick a fight. I ignore his warning and I go back to where Granger was now standing with her wand clutched tightly in her hands.

"Why should I apologise to you?" I give her a try-me look. I wasn't afraid of her. The both of us were equally powerful. I let go of Draco's hand and I whip out my wand from my pocket but Draco follows beside me anyway.

"Well, because you knocked me over?" her two friends give me a look as she said those words, taking their wands out as Draco did the same.

"I don't see a need for an apology. You should have looked where you were going," I roll my eyes at her, stopping just two feet away from her and her friends.

"Stupefy!" Potter shouts at me but Draco defends me from it before it hit me, his arm in front of mine with his wand. His face got furious as he stared at Potter with the dirtiest look I've ever seen him give someone.

"Don't you do that again, Potter," he spits at the halfblood with the lightning scar.

"Malfoy's getting real protective, huh?" Weasel laughs, smirking.

"Reducto!" I point my wand at Weasel, only for the spell to be blocked by Hermione herself.

"Sectumsemptra!" I hear Potter mutter the incantation Snape invented himself. How the hell did he know about it?!

"Protego!" I scream in defense and the spell is reflected to the wall, Potter dodging from his own curse successfully.

"Bombarda!" Weasel casts at me.

"Protego!" I shout back in a defense mechanism. Suddenly, Weasel was blown off his feet and was now on the floor, his arm scratched and his shirt slightly torn.

"Avis!" Draco conjured a small flock of blue-featherd birds. "Oppoguno!" he then says, pointing his wand at the three friends. The birds dive straight for them and before any of them could say a counter spell, were having birds picking at their hair and then exploding into small puffs of blue feathers that fell atop of their heads. I let out a small laugh as Weasel lets out a shout in frustration.

Granger was about to cast another spell against up when Professor McGonagall spots the five of us.

"Stop it, the five of you!" she shouts at us and we lower our wands in submission. Behind her followed Professor Snape who gave us a look.
